8am to 5pm day, Sign in, look at job list.. everything had to be done on time and before the day was over.
I learnt quiet a bit in the 2 weeks that I was there, like about the different types of snakes, aerogard doesn't work that well with mozzies in damp areas of the zoo, I learnt about the different types of fruit and veggies that the animals can and cannot eat.
The management team were very nice and very helpful with all of my questions.
The other keepers were all very nice and knew their stuff, they were easy to talk to and ask them any questions if needed, they all acted like a big family and made me feel safe when starting.
The most enjoyable part of the work placement would've been... everything... besides the meat meal prep.

Extremely busy with a multitude of different tasks to perform in a quick and efficient manner.   Varied duties each day and often an overlap of duties.  Worked with very nice people in all departments.  Hardest part of the job was juggling and prioritising the many tasks delegated each day.  Management was dealing with a large amount of issues as per a large company on very different levels.  Each day we had at least a laugh about something!

In a way, I'm glad even though shattered, that I was made redundant after 25 plus years. They have ruined my life  with ongoing  serious health  issues from so much stress. Worked approximately 60 hours a week, worked through  my annual leave from home. Never even got any acknowledgement. The worst company  I have ever worked for in my life. Now on disability  pension. I made some friends for  life  but the job I was designated was unable to be done  by one person. 

Open and organize shop floor.
Set salary targets for store and workers.
Make sure store is running smoothly throughout the day.
Inventory and close store. 

Learned many managing skills, how to deal with customers and staff. How to handle stressful situations in a calm way.

Management was attentive to the needs of the store and workers.

All employees worked together throughout the day, strong team unity.

Having a customer unhappy with service. Long all day shifts.

Happy customers, friendships built, being in the fashion world.

I have been working for 2 years at Billabong. The hardest part was during the Covid-19. Unfortunately, I was not able to get any shift but when the picking season started, I've got my same roster with the same hours which is amazing for me! When it's busy, the time passes so quickly with lovely customers and a great team! I've learned many things about retail and management is always there when you need it! I love working at Billabong!

The Billabong Group Australia is a fantastic a loving family that cares for their employees. During my short time at Billabong, I learn't many of the necessary skills that create an effective workplace and will take these skills into future jobs.

I really enjoyed my time working at Billabong Nz and Aus HQ's, however, the business as a whole was under a lot of stress so it really tested the people management of our higher team leaders. Unfortunately that bought down the work-family environment.

Billabong is such an amazing place to work and feel very privileged to of abled to work there. The good vibes all round from the staff and good music always make it a nice place to work in.

picking and packing orders nice clean work place and work mates are all funny and enjoy joking around.good hours early start early finish.very relaxed work place
