A typical day of work for me is when we have orders I start at 9am and there’s others who start at 7 so they are already in the process of doing their orders and so I will be told to go to a certain person and ask if they have any high picks they need me to do and if they don’t then I’ll get told to go ask anyone else doing orders if they have any that need doing. If nobody has anything I will go back and ask at the office where my supervisor and the person who does the orders reception if there’s any other orders and if they have something then they will assign it to my scanner. Some days we are very quiet and we don’t have any orders and on these days I will go around and consolidate items and drop anything that only has a few items on the pallet and is up high and I will drop them to either the A level or I will drop the pallet to a B level and if there’s nothing I can do there then I’ll just break down boxes that are not flattened in the bins and just do general cleaning and tidy up. Some days you can get really bored and find it hard to find things to do. When the main shows start around Australia though for example the Royal Sydney Easter show things become very busy and can get chaotic depending on if you are chosen to do them orders otherwise you get told to just stick to doing the other general orders we do.
Management have been nothing but fantastic with myself as I have had a lot of issues come up in my life and they are the same way with everyone and they always make you feel like you can approach them about anything and they are always there for you. 
The workplace culture is very mixed in cultures and everyone has their groups but everyone is always able to work together regardless and I am yet to see any problems with the culture.
For me the most enjoyable part of the job is when you have a busy day and you are constantly go, go, go as it makes your day very productive and it goes quickly. The hardest part would have to be like I said trying to find something to do sometimes.

A typical day in the show bag pavilion was serving customers, managing lines in crowds of people, taking note of stock levels to ensure all bags were available as much as physically possible. The best part was the support from coworkers which fostered a very positive team work energy where you quickly get comfortable around each other. Instructions were very clear from management which made it easy to fulfil tasks.

I really enjoyed working at the Benson's showboats earlier this year at the Easter Show. I worked as a casual as I was a high school student. The pay is really good especially as it's on public holidays, but it was not bad in general in my opinion. The other workers there were also pretty relaxed and the leadership/management team was helpful and easy to talk to. 

Working at Bensons saw me working hard to cater for the demand in the showbags section of the Easter Show. I had to rush to find boxes and stock up showbags for hours on end. The workplace culture was uplifting and the employers made sure we were safe and enjoying our time. We received benefits for the show and we received adequate pay.

I worked her at the melbourne show and it was great, super kind and helpful management. Only able to work during melbourne show times. Only downside was that they hired to many people so not many shifts and at some points without notice I had shifts taken away. Overall super fun workplace. Will apply here again!

Fast paced, good environment, great employees and supervisors. Every day was different, new challenges to keep you on your feet. Working for this company allowed me to gain various skills required to successfully fulfil customer needs.

I work for bensons trading co 5 times a year at Camden show Hawkesbury show easter show and orange show but all round its a really fun place to work for has good benefits and pay

good for a first retail job, there arent that many customers recently so most of the job is just standing around and its easy to get bored. coworkers are pretty chill but some managers are difficult to work with.

9 days of consistent work. Easy and busy but can be physically demanding if you're used to an office job. Decent pay. Limited training but not much training is really needed. Easy job interview. Would make a good first job.
