From the moment you walk in, you're bombarded with unrealistic expectations, incessant micromanagement, and a complete lack of support or guidance. The workload is overwhelming, and there's never enough time to complete tasks to the expected standard.
What I believed I would learn at Bega turned out to be a cruel joke. Instead of professional growth and development, I found myself drowning in a sea of incompetence and apathy. Management is a complete disaster, with leaders who are more interested in playing politics than actually leading.
The workplace culture at Bega is nothing short of toxic. There is a pervasive sense of fear and distrust, with employees constantly looking over their shoulders, afraid of making a mistake that could cost them their job. They have recently let go over 100 managers and employees “Redundancy”!! Definitely those ones were not friends with the upper management!
The hardest part of the job is trying to maintain your sanity in the face of such overwhelming adversity. It's a daily battle to keep your head above water, and many days, you'll find yourself questioning why you even bother.
Despite all the negativity, there is one redeeming factor: the day you finally walk out the door for the last time. Leaving Bega behind is the most enjoyable part of the job, as you are finally free from the chains of this toxic environment. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this nightmare of a workplace.

Pay rate is attractive however doesn’t feel like enough compensation for the way management run the Lagoon Street site. Out of all the supervisors, there is only one good one and he is relief so he’s not there often. Management preach they care about you and are family orientated but it is quite the opposite. Smart remarks from supervisors, managers that favour some and not others, and abuse of power from team leaders/supervisors/management are the main reasons I left the company. High school drama among coworkers is a problem, however, my coworkers were the only thing I did enjoy there. High turnover of staff and always running short staffed is the normal. Prepare to be overworked and under appreciated, and learn to stand your ground and speak up quickly. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Great Australian brands to work with and for, exciting products.  Great culture at the start of my journey there, but that became strained nearing the end of my time.  Top level management disconnect with middle-lower levels of management.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
stress levels were highest at results times.  



What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Generally good people to work with.  Disconnect between higher and lower management becoming wider.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Hours were pretty good.  Flexible locations was great too.  8-5:30pm.  Occasional weekend work.

i learned chemical handling, forklift driving, operating machinery.

management was alright, bit hard at times when needing something important.

hardest part of the job would be the shutting down at the end of the day and cleaning making sure we get everywhere clean and that there is no cheese hidden in hard to get places and being in a room at 70 degrees for 3 hours.

most enjoyable part would be going to work and having a chat with my workmates throughout the day.

The company's current practices, toxic culture, mismanagement and overall lack of leadership and respect to the frontline staff. 
When the chips are against you and you involve HR (P&C), they exude "we care" but are only there for the business. Management will work together in whatever way possible to ensure that untruths are told. 
I would not recommend and for my own mental and physical health am glad that this chapter is finally over. 
In over a 40 year work career, this has been my worst experience.

Very safe and they looked after each other 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You might start at 6am and finish at 2.30pm

Bad Management. Poor work culture. No skill development. No quality or no care for anything. Employees are not motivated. Bias,  and favourable towards family members as there families working in the same shift.
There is nothing to be enjoyable about the Job.
Very micro managed. 

Busy work enviroment, keeps your mind active.
Most days were good with relationships with team members, maintenanace and management teams working well together.
I enjoyed challenges during work hours. The hardest part of the job was getting used to rotating shifts.

I spent over five years there so found it an easy place to work with friendly management who took a personal interest in their staff.  The kept up to date with work practices and were always supportive of their employees.

Favoritism makes ambitious employees with wrong skin color disheartened. Company prefers workaholics and so it's difficult to manage a work life balance. But  generally colleagues are nice and welcoming.
