Beechworth Bakery

I tend to do 5.30am opens or 12pm (noon) closes. I am situated mostly at the coffee machine yet to do participate in various parts of the store.
Dealing with large amounts of customers and coffee orders my time management skills have been refined and advanced considerably.

I really enjoy working with my co-workers. I work side by side with women, few men but majority of my time is with women. I know class them as my family. Always there to help and i am the same.

My greatest achievement would have to be; being Training coordinator. I refined my organisational skills from being able to juggle up to 10 new staff, creating rosters and following up on training.

I worked at the Beechworth bakery for close to 3 years. I worked as a baker and it was the worst experience of my life. I was always denied my holidays. If you ever had a sick day, you were judged and pretty much punished “even if you are a casual”. The manager in the bakehouse is the most selfish person you’ll ever meet. Always rosters himself off in public holidays and never starts early. Whenthere’s a difficult task, he goes straight into the office and doesn’t lend a helping had

I am really happy that I chose to work at BB. I was initially a bit hesitant to move to the country all the way from Melbourne, but it is definitely worth it and especially love the drive to work (so scenic and peaceful). The wages are above award and you also get to work in a supportive environment. Everything from the Interview process to Onboarding and blending into work was smooth and positive. Also, you get free lunch and snacks.

I really enjoyed my time working there. Some days could get a bit stressful due to it being a tourist destination (mainly on the holidays), but my coworkers always made my day better and made the experience worthwhile. The training was great and I wasn't thrown into serving straight away which really eased me into the job. Overall It was a great first job and I learnt a lot.

I moved all the way from Melbourne and I must say that I loved the whole transition and workplace culture. 

People really know you as a person rather than just being a number. 

Very supportive team and very encouraging to learn new things. Wages are really good. And omg, free lunches. How good!

The bakery looks after you! They have done everything to support my career growth, goals and work-life balance. I love the fun, family like atmosphere and have made friends for life through the Beechworth Bakery.

Learnt how to lead a team, communicate under changing circumstances, fast paced and fun. Business where you are known and cared for - a person not a number. Never closed all through covid to support staff and their families, and locals in the community. 

Beechworth bakery is a blast to work at. 

Dressing up in the costumes when we have a theme or a holiday coming up is so much fun! Every body gets around it even the customers enjoy it. Learning about the different cakes is fun and getting to take home the left overs is a little extra too :)

I worked at beechworth bakery echuca for 3yrs . It was the best . So fun and a real team environment.  Unfortunately i had to leave due to unforseen circumstances but would go back in a heartbeat

All employees are very welcoming and friendly. Although our main priority is that of the customers, we still aim to work together and have fun on the job. Whilst working here I have learnt the importance of working as a team and trusting each other.
