I enjoy my job because of the interaction with my customers, but there is no chance of advancement within the organisation. Full time job applications are rejected. I was given the opportunity of working in Reception at the Council Office and did so for several months, but due a complaint the I was working more hours than my contract allowed, I was cut back to 20 hours a week. After 20 years with the organisation, there is no loyalty.

I spend my days at work helping customers with their various enquiries as well as the usual registration and licence renewals etc. The hardest part of the job is the feeling that I'm a forgotten person because of the lack of interaction with the rest of the organisation.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the conversations I have with my customers. I have gotten to know a lot of people over the years and developed friendships.

a typical night shift would be cooking meals for truck drivers, keeping baimarie fresh, making around 40 different sandwiches, wrapping donuts, cakes etc, making cuppacinos, prep food for next day, stock fridge, clear tables, wash floors, balance cash register, do dishes. The people i worked with were very easy going and easy to get along with, thats when i was on afternoon or day shift as on night shift i was on by myself, the hardest part of the job was not having any help with all the tasks i had to do as it was a very busy truck stop.The most enjoyable part of job was i got to meet a lot of people and got to know the regulars and what they ordered.

While the workload and the and the hours are quite on the norm ( in my opinion ), the customers you recieve can range from the most pleasant to the most.... unique... During my time there ( 5 years ) i have seen quite a few distressing things ( things you wont soon forget ) ... so i would not recommend this job to those who are not ready for the wilder side of humanity ( at night mostly ) That being said, the pay is great and the people you work with in such an environment can make this a job well worth remembering.

I was an absolute novice when I started but by the time I left, I knew all aspects of my duties and how to be helpful to customers and fellow workers. The most enjoyable part of the job is meeting the people and 'going the extra mile' to satisfy their quirky food likes and dislikes.

I wasn't quite sure about this job position, I wasn't given enough time to be certain I was confident enough of knowing the ropes of the job role, I enjoyed working with the staff team and it was an enjoyable environment.

I learned a lot with till operations how they work on a regular basis, fuel operations, re-stocking fridges, freezers and shelves how they work on a regular basis. The workplace was cultural friendly.

I left a month ago and I still wear the scars of what was done to me. Favouritism with management, no care for staff, do not take mental health seriously they don’t do anything to help their staff at all it’s disgusting DO NOT RECOMMEND 

The kitchen is not clean, the staff and management spend more time fighting then working. They start off giving you so many hours and then cut you to none for no reason. There is no proper site manager and hasn't been for a year. 

Basically the only place left that still does driveway service, Typical day involved pumping fuel, checking oil, adjusting tyre pressures, cooking meals, answering phone and general customer service.

Alot of micro management, everyone trying to be boss, no organisation, lack of any moral as everyone seems to have it out for each other 

Pay however is very good, and weekend rate is good too, but that is about as good as it gets
