What is the best part of working at the company?
Ability to agree to shifts around your lifestyle schedule, if working, another job or studying. 
Approachable management with an openness, if inability to work, certain shifts due to other commitments.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Some days like when working at the races  north coast (north of Brisbane,) long shifts are expected with very little or no breaks  especially in very hot weather. Inability to state that you break wasn’t possible or that nobody came to relieve you, ( in accordance with Applicable to Queensland/Australian  work practices and laws.).
Expected to work long hours without any extra  breaks , especially drink or bathroom breaks. Fear of missing out on shifts when casual if this was reported, and they knew it!. For example, it took me one hour and 20 minutes to drive to a  hotel could do a three hour shift. If the shift went over three hours I wasn’t granted a break at all and sometimes it would work up to five hours and I wouldn’t leave until around 3/4 AM and would get home when the sun was rising open sometimes a two hour, one wag drive), when the sun was rising  way over what I was being paid for! 
Not cold, when given a shift, where you will be working alone therefore, you can’t take a break if times become busy, and no instructions left for specific clientele needs. It was very very common to be told what to do by the, “regulars“ in the bar, rather than have any written instructions or being told what was required by management.
On many occasions, I feel that they would just send somebody to an establishment and hope that everything worked out correctly. 
I’ve given it a high school as working at these establishments was usually great especially if you went alone on a quiet night. Uniforms were supplied no cost to you, including good quality, sick jackets for night work.
Overall, however, I don’t believe that they had the best in mind for those employed by best who were out in the field so to speak and really only management and those in the office were treated with any dignity or respect.
I wouldn’t work for them again, knowing now that I can stand up for myself so I’d work for them but I wouldn’t just take some of the this tangible/enjoyable aspects of the job.
Best security needs to understand that they wouldn’t be a security company without all of the staff that they employee out in the field.
There were times, when I would receive an injury from drunken  Club members and this was either never passed on to management/human resources as I never heard anything from them as to whether I was OK, nothing. In fact, I’d be very surprised indeed, if they even knew about it so at times, I believe the tail was wagging the dog . 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
As already mentioned, any hope for advancement within the company would’ve been only those who worked at head office (the only office,), all possibly those in leadership (which were few and far between,) in the field.
As already mentioned, there were times, especially when working for the races in Queensland Where you would have to work literally for hours and hours on your feet and nobody would come and relieve you for even a bathroom break alone, a meal break of which you were entitled to.
As it was sometime ago, I still remember feeling very despondent, and that they definitely didn’t care as to whether I got any work/life balance, and when I was at work that my contribution which I took very seriously was valued at all by the company. 
It was nothing to be expected to drive over two hours, one way for a three hour shift, starting late as in 11 PM and any overtime definitely wasn’t paid and sometimes arriving home on these particular shifts when the sun was coming up and you stopped being paid three or four hours ago! 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I didn’t feel valued as an employee and I most certainly put my heart and soul into that job coming from management in a bank and working in management positions. Where are the boss of up to 30 staff.
I don’t believe this was appreciated in anyway and it’s really hard to feel appreciated when you left without anybody coming to relieve you for a bathroom break, or even a meal break and expected to work for many hours in hot weather and having to face these problems as mentioned above without having any breaks!
No day is typical for security apart from the obvious but if you’re looking for recognition for a hard days work, I’ve never seen it being given to anybody else let alone myself  no matter how hard I worked.

BEST Security is a new company, so far focusing on one off events, which are prevalent through this Summer Festive season, so as of writing this review, I have only done the one job but will have a better idea once I have done more jobs for the company. 
The first event was very well managed, and there were no issues. Excellent communication between staff, and very good instructions to all employees working the site. Travel was well organised.
I am hoping I might be able to contribute more on the administrative, documentation of procedures side of things as the business continues to grow.

Monitor intoxication levels.
Monitor behaviour of patrons.
That is an individual way to handle every situation.
Management were wonderful, couldn't ask for any different from them.
The hardest part about the job is having no social life on normal days (weekends).
The most enjoyable part of the job would be when i learned to love the job for everything it represented.

The management team are friendly, easy to talk to and allow you to voice your opinions.

The team supervisors are conscious of the individual staff working under them, and treat them with respect and take time to explain in clear terms what the expectations are. They are quick to communicate any form of grievances so that the individual member can rectify the situation.

The team members are friendly and helpful.

I like to work with people as a team  to meet our goal. I love helping other people apart from my works  mates. I like to learn new things every day. I always like  to work without a supervisor. I always double check if it safe for me and my work mates before we start working.Always wear PPE when we are on duty.

Each event location is different you don't know how the night is going to turn out however each shift is basic principle practice, you know what to look out for and that not taking any nonsense from people is my main priority being a security guard. I maintain professional at all times and do my job to the best of my ability and practice the training that I have been taught when needed in a work situation.

Working with Best was a great experience that consisted of basic crowd controlling duties. As well as learning to be more confident with confrontation I was also able to hone my skills in self-defence and sorting out problems with verbal consultation.

Tony (owner) and his management team I find they are very easy to talk to, they are there for you if times are difficult, excellent working conditions, what else can I say other than I really enjoy working at Best Security 

ensuring the safety of all patrons and staff 
learnt how to talk with and deal with different types of customers and how to work with others and management to make the venue safe for all staff and patrons.

full of promises of more work that never came to past EG 15 days straight work at the races and when the time came (5 weeks latter ) i had already got some private work then started with primary security/services
