The Australian skin clinics is a good place to learn if your new to the industry but choose the location and clinic carefully as it depends on who you report to.  My experience wasn't the best, it is a fast paced environment and I wasn't been trained. They threw me in the deep end without sufficient training and then complained that I wasn't picking it up fast. They wasted my time and I took a pay cut to accept this job.

  I would avoid the clinics not owned by head office as they have more structure and you will have more opportunity to grow as an individual.  The company itself also has a a high turnover rate too.
It's a fun and exciting job if your working  in a good team with a good lead. The industry and company itself is very sales motivated, so when you decide to apply for this job, keep that in mind.
They pay you the award rate and you get paid a very small amount for meeting your ridiculous high sales target, which then gets taxed.
Its extremely fast paced and you are working back to back taking clients, so there's no option to make mistakes. 
The friendships you make working here are the only thing keeping you going. It's a good place to learn if you pick the clinic carefully, otherwise your being set up to fail.





I started my Australian Skin Clinics journey in the Ashmore Clinic and it was a fantastic place to work! The team at the time we're passionate and full of asking women (and some men!) that always put the clients first. Starting in accounts and admin I was quickly promoted to Management and also continued the journey at the Head Office for the Franchise from 5 clinics to 22 in total when I left! Have to say it was probably the best job I have ever had and I was sorry to leave but had to for personal reasons. I maintain a friendship with many of the people I met during my time there and still visit for treatments as often as I can!

I worked in 2 different locations (both franchised by different people) and both were the same. Treat staff terribly and don't pay you for mandatory training sessions. Managers have favourites and they get all the good opportunities even if they are under qualified. Also the biggest red flag is there is no HR. either with head office or individual franchises. One of the locations I worked at does not follow QLD health radiation safety guidelines and have had fair work called on them by multiple staff members. You only get 30 min break for a 12 hour shift. No weekend or penalty rates either. 

The team I worked with were fantastic which made coming to work great. Franchisee however was terrible to work for, was never happy with any achievements, talked about all the staff to other staff members and wouldn’t pay bonuses. Very sales oriented which took the passion for the work we do away. Overall a stressful workplace with no room to grow. Also don’t pay very well. 

This place was awful and was always so stressful. Was never an easy flowing job. Always had to take on too much workload and worked really long hours which was very draining. Turned me off this industry and the management was never good, went through about 3 different managers in 4 months and all of them never did their job properly and left all of us technicians doing their job work load every time. Do not rate working here if you can't handle stress very well

Franchisees at the carindale clinic were awful! And after complaining to head office I’ve still gotten no support. Would not recommend this company if you want to keep your passion for the industry. Training is reluctantly paid for, and you may need to travel over an hour to attend training. Managers are encouraged not to be friendly with staff, and therapists are treated as disposable 

fun team to work with,  repetitive days, average wage, long hours, customer abuse, over worked, no growth within company to reflect wages, always changing the workplace rules and regulations, no structure

There’s great opportunities to earn commissions but it’s hard to build your clients from the bottom. Very friendly team to work with and very helpful. Computer systems are challenging and slow.

disgusting boss, is not understanding at all, does not pay super and does not allow you to take your entitled annual leave. Have to fight for your rights, and does not follow the law

Absolutely loved working within this business but unfortunately it wasn't for me. There was constant training and events to better yourself at the job.
