This company was full on.  No day was the same.  There were many people coming into the premises whether they were for the Directors, Finance Managers, Stores or just personal enquiries.

The company hired at times up to 200 production employees. And all of these employees, I had to ensure that their information was put into a data base and also into a personal file, which was then updated weekly.

I learned to work quickly and efficiently, but I knew how to prioritise.

Management were very helpful whenever I questioned them about a process I wasn't sure about. They explained things to me without any hesitation.

My co-workers were a GREAT bunch!!  We all helped each other in any way that we could (within reason).  We had a few social times - but at work, it was work.

The hardest part of my job was when I was made redundant.

The most enjoyable part of my job was actually getting up every morning and thinking - "I am going to work today" - because I loved working in that Company.  I suppose the other enjoyable part of my job, was that I was very happy doing what I was expected to do, because I knew I would do it right and complete tasks in an effective and efficient manner.

Whilst the job advertised looks good there is little to no training, very little management support and no communication when it comes to roster changes. When things are running good at camp there is no problem but when an issue does arise (whether it be through lack of training or poor communication) expect to be dropped like a bag of dirt. Sorry but I would only recommend a fifo role with them until something better and more permanent came along. All but 1 of the tradies I worked with, some had been there 2 or 3 years and had never been offered a permanent full time role.

Always work on time.
I learn a lot of experience such as, painting, building up a Portable Camp, Installing windows/doors,and how to used the mechanical tools.
The management of this company are very strictly enforce SOP, and they are will concern to their employees.
Co-workers are very helpful.
The hardest part of the job is when the orders is urgently need it should be do the job very rapidly.
The most enjoyable part of the job is when you know the task already.

Incredible place to work and grow. Amazing in house manufacturing culture. Mine site safety critical. Transport compliance, high risk equipment all looked after in house. Extremely high level of maintenance and diverse equipment. Excellent place to improve knowledge. Excellent benefits.

portable housing is exciting to do ,we worked as a team and the management is very good ,i learned a lot everyday when i do portable camp its exciting my boss loves me as a worker or as a welder

Very rough conditions long swings that can be extended out of the blue with shorter time off poor living conditions no television food can be great then chefs change and shortage of food working in really hot dusty conditions with no outlet no escape shifts should be shorter for mental health and more family friendly roster

Poorly managed and no job stability at all. Through poor management follows disorganization, rushed work because of no planning, constant pressure on workers to pick up the slack and to top it off no over time rates to reward anyone for their efforts. Strongly advise not to work at Australian Portable Camps.

Worked 10 hr days on a 2/1 roster in you learn new things everyday due to breakdown get along well with my co workers.
Doing this work for the last 6 to 7 years i think i am experienced enough for camp maintenance and installation work.

Management is unorganized and not loyal to any employee unless you are management you get treated like dirt no one can take repsonsability for mistakes all ways looking for someone else to blame don't work here unless you like being degraded and walked all over
