Australian National Couriers

I worked for ANC for two days.  First day they didn't tell me the device had training jobs on it so I started doing them only to find out they wernt real, then had to go to companys that gave you the run around as to where to pick up the parcel, which is waisting my time and effort as you get paid per parcel!  Next day was thrown into the CBD and what a nightmare!  when you are getting paid per parcel and your waisting time looking for parking, dodging people in the streets with your trolley and not having clear training or mapping as to know where you are going!  When raised my concerns all I got was basically "deal with it  because that's what a courier does!  I work for another courier company now and they do not send me into the CBD, they are clear on wether or not you will work there!  and I get paid per hour, not per parcel.

They don't even have a direct number as to who to ring for help.

All the waiting and paperwork you have to go through also at pick up sites just for a parcel that you are only getting paid per parcel....waist of time and money

A fast-paced, friendly company which is flexible and understanding to my needs.  Long hours, with many delays however.
I would start just before 9am and receive many pickups from
the two-way radio.  The full description of the job is supplied and the address and drop off.
I learned to put in phones for Telstra in many areas including the country.  The delays for pick-ups were frustrating.  The delays in getting new pda equipment is frustrating.

Working with the friendly staff was the best part of the job. Long delays and tiring drop offs(stairs no access on lifts)  being the worst part. Constant road works causes many delays for drivers.

When the PDA stopped working more than 5 times and the wages became reduced on many items I decided to leave after 8 and a half fruitful and enjoyable years.

They treat some staff with respect amd other are invisible.  The Custer service manager flaunted her favourites in front of other staff and would give them priority over the rest of the staff.   Driver would be treat like garbage and not Ike human beings.   The only reason I stayed as omg as I did was due to some of the wonderful people that worked there who actually cared

Long days. Meet lovely clients. Fast paced.You are the owner operator, and time management was essential, financially rewarding. Unload trucks for deliveries, distribute and pickup freight all over the coast.

Organised but chaotic. A typical courier company trying to strive for perfection, but can't get it.

If the communications are over the top... If the radio system is disfunctional... Then that's this company's normal business day as the frequent change of staff will attest.

Don't care about drivers.
Company rules changes when it works in their favor.
Overwork drivers.
Management is a joke.
Everyday is a struggle. 
Will throw anyone under the bus for company benefits.

I enjoyed the work. Towards the end the pay diminished and the equipment was broken all the time. I'd had enough of the struggle to do the job.
Easy and close drop offs.

working as an adhoc courier drivers. driving up and down all day from city to huntingwood and all others suburbs. I am everywhere, different places everyday. just keep on driving for hrs and hrs.

ready to work Monday to Friday full time.
I have new brand two tonne van with high roof and I enjoy driving .
I am hard worker and I can load and unload by my self .

This is a fast paced & very stress inducing industry to work in, but the people within it are some of the most amazing human beings. So kind & supportive. They are what keep you showing up everyday.
