Aussie Broadband is a great place to work with a friendly and cooperative atmosphere, even though sales is competitive it feels like almost a cooperative experience here with everyone supporting each other and passing on sales that consultants have been following up on.

At Aussie you really feel like you're helping to make a difference in people's lives, with every call being something new, which gives you a sense of Noble Purpose above just 'being a salesperson'. Whenever friends or family ask me about my role I feel very proud to tell them about what I do.

The hardest part of the job is when you get those really tough calls that you get that might go for quite a while, making you stay on after your shift or they might demand more from you than you were expecting, but after those calls your fellow team members are always there for you to help process everything and get you in the mindset to move on with a fresh mind ready for the next call.

The most enjoyable part of the job is when you have those great conversations with customers and after you hang up you know you've changed the game when it comes to Telco's for them.

The majority of the day at work you will be taking calls from customers, writing notes while or after you're talking to them, following up on callbacks and in downtime between calls actioning tickets.

The knowledge you will learn from this role covers a wide breadth of how the company works as a whole and gives you a fuller understanding of the different roles and responsibilities of each department that are very helpful if you would ever like to move to a different department within the company. You will also gain much more in depth knowledge on how the internet works on a range of different technologies on both NBN and Opticomm services.

No Bullsh*t being a core value at Aussie really shows through from the conversations you can have with customers to the conversations you can have with other staff and management. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part of working at Aussie Broadband is the strong team culture and supportive environment. The company genuinely values its people, encourages inclusivity, and promotes a “be good to people” mindset.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful parts of working at Aussie Broadband typically include:

High workload and call volumes in customer-facing roles

Limited or inconsistent training, meaning you often learn on the job

Frequent changes in priorities or communication from management

Rostering challenges, including shift changes

Feeling under-resourced during busy growth periods

Ok people to work with. They don't fully train you in areas you should be trained in and aren't fully honest with you until the end. They keep people who don't work hard but talk well. The managers hire people then fire them if you don't meet their expectations in such short period of time without getting hr involved. You work long hours over your normal full time hours there is no work life balance/enjoyment from it. If you don't fit in your wasting their time. Doesn't sound like a good family business to work for more like deceptive values. 

Wonderful working culture with a great family feel - all the staff are really nice and welcoming. One thing that really stood out working there is how everyone acknowledges each others successes and Taco's. 

Only con would be the day to day work of being on the phones 7.5 hours of the day which can be quite draining in the end. It's a great atmosphere for what it is but working in Telecommunications can be quite taxing especially when having to relay bad news to consumers for issues outside of your control. 

I feel sorry for the frontline reps at Aussie BB, there is no formal training you’re thrown into the deep end. So as a result you naturally make mistakes and then begins the horrible cycle of being told consistently bad feedback about your mistakes. The vibe is very depressing and staff are constantly leaving, 5 people left in my department and I was there for only one month before I jumped ship. One of their values is no BS which is their way of consistently telling you about what you’re doing wrong. I feel sorry for the people that work there and glad I got out.

Worked for the Aussie for 5 months. That was probably 9 months too long. Came in with fresh and exciting new ideas to improve the business in some areas and was dismissed straight away. There is no room to move within the company and if you don't know someone you will be stuck doing the same thing day in and out for minimal pay. I went in with the best intentions and outlook and came out feeling used. I would not recommend working for them

I have been employed at Aussie Broadband for a bit over a year and during my time, I have been exposed to many opportunities to develop my career and learn new things. The people are what make this workplace so special, the culture is incredibly inclusive and supportive. Some of the roles don't offer competitive salaries compared to the rest of the market, but working somewhere I enjoy is much more important to me.

No workplace is perfect, but Aussie is a company that genuinely cares about their staff.   

What can I say its all down hill  best part of the job was walking in and seeing L1's laughter best part  was watching the friendship and banter between a couple of worker's. They don't talk now and the work place has gone to down a slope for it.  MANAGEMENT has a lot to answer for you want the place to be fun again repair the damage thats been done and the place just might be worth what it once was. Bring the laughter and banter back for god sakes 

Working at Aussie was absolute rubbish. The high turnover rate speaks for itself. Multiple times I witnessed a level 2 employee yell and swear at people who would simply just ask for help. Management were well aware and didn't care because Aussie Broadband don't care about about its employees. The pay is terrible especially for the amount of work you do. If you work at Aussie Broadband they will treat you like s**t 

Your typical day will be replying to emails to customers via your personal inbox alongside with taking inbound calls throughout the day.

During the time you're not taking inbounds, you will be reacing out to customer via outbound calls which are typically done through warm leads.
