I worked in the fabrication workshop great bunch of employees great culture within company was a lot of experienced Tradesman on this construction project good supervisors and project managers. This Gas Train was the last stick built train fabricated in Australia with Australian materials and Australian labour and was built within 2 years start to finish. Unfortunately companies think modules built overseas and shipped to Australia is a better way to fabricate but these projects take longer once in Australia with rework from poor standards and cost more than if they were built in Australia from scratch. The federal government should make it law that any major infrastructure is built in Australia using Australian materials and Australian Labour.  

During their growing phase the company was very progressive. The workplace culture was one of the most accommodating and appreciating environment I ever worked in. During all this time working for this company we went from strength to strength. Not many people would leave this workplace for another during this time.
Unfortunately the company direction took a  turn for the worse when a new CEO was appointed. Lack of industry knowledge and arrogant capital spending in the wrong areas almost brought this company to its knees during my last year working with AGC. 
The board of directors has changed in the meantime again.

a normal day would start on site   at 6 am, off site at 4 30 pm. camp life was excellent,accommodation food and top notch  amenities. management in my opinion was considerate helpful and  mindful of it's workers as long as you followed the rules, put in a honest days work and do the right thing all round. hardest part of the job would be, as a fifo returning to work after the break it seems to short a time on r andr. nothing like the end of project, mission accomplished most enjoyable.

I loved working at AGC. I worked on a very busy dual reception with over 200 calls a day.My collegue and I, even though we worked hard we had a good time as well. Because I have 2 children my hours were school hours so I left at 2.00pm each day. At the end of the day we always thanked eachother for a lovely day. I found the envirnoment at AGC a very positive environment which was always promoting a balance of family and work. Their motto being "A Perfect Day!"

a typical day at work would be assesing the job and its requirments setting up blast equiptment and blasting what is required.once finished blasting its time to put on the required coating paint then looking back at your work and being proud of the great job you have just finished the people i have worked with have an extensive amount of expierance and are great to work with

Safety comes first in any ones work day. what could be better than doing a good hard but safe day at work then returning home to your family. also to see or hear that no one has been injured at work and things are running smoothly.
my most enjoyable part in my work day is seeing everyone smile when they know they have put in a hard days at the end of the day and supervision acknowledge it.

enjoyed the work not the management, senior management had little or no engineering experience and a macho attitude to subordinates
Work on various projects was interesting, co workers were fine, closeness to home was a plus

this job my duties is hot &cold work.
i do pippe line vassle penhouse insulation and cryogenic.

disorganized and workshop run by dinosaurs.
safety is questionable at best
