Sometimes when the client, the customer or the client had a bad day, it affects the general output of the team. It becomes time-consuming. It would help if you waited for the clients to settle before you can continue the personal care.
The learning experience is quite obvious because every individual has unique behaviour and likes and dislikes. Therefore the person-centred approach model is in the right direction to take care of individual needs such as values, respect, culture, inclusiveness and many more. 
Less can be said about management, each tried their best to meet the clients need as much as possible. Just that due to the covid-19 pandemic has made it difficult to meet face to face with the manager to enable mentorship and the likes. The workplace culture is very much diverse. Staff styles of approaching work are accepted and respect for each other is significant.
The hardest part of it all is when the client is not happy but can not tell you what is wrong with them. In such situations, they mostly refused food, medication, and even personal care. The happiest day and enjoying day is when the client is happy and wanted to participate in the activities as per the schedule. Oh too sweet.

I loved my job so much, especially supporting and teaching the Supported Employees. Watching them grow their skills and confidence was just absolutely amazing. The work was interesting as well. 

But management took the joy out of it. 

Team leaders would go on leave and you'd end up having to fill the gap, or people quit and you'd take on more work for the same pay. There's always the promise of hiring casuals..... But it never happens.
The culture was poor at best, there was never any proper consequences for incidents or bullying. And management don't take accountability for their behaviour or mistakes. They take it out on the team leaders.
Management don't understand the areas they're overseeing, and often make many mistakes that others have to work twice as hard to fix.
Deadlines grew shorter and the work became more stressful. It got to the point where your best was never enough. 
And you more than likely will have managers calling you outside of hours to berate you for extremely trivial things.

The clients, salary sacrifice .. ability to earn good money, ability to choose hours sometimes, depending on you rmanager

Managment, disorganised, only out for the budget, anti workers rights, little support from managment, manipulated by managment, managment , SW relationship is too far between to have a good undertanding of house relations by managment

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Strained, managment has destroyed staff relations by using rostered shifts to play favorites that does not coencide with senioriety or by  policy & proceedure.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Suppoting customers needs from travel,  personal care, day to day needs, monitoring  the needs of customers appointments & general health , mental health requirmets

Unfortunately, the management lacks organisation and accountability. Poor planning, unclear communication, and disorganised systems regularly impact staff performance. Instead of addressing these issues, management often shifts blame onto employees, using them as an excuse rather than taking responsibility.

Effective managers support their teams, provide clear direction, and own their decisions. Sadly, this is not reflected here. Leadership roles require competence and structure, not just a title. Until management improves its organisation and accountability, staff morale and workplace efficiency will continue to suffer.
Staff always quit here because they get no shifts. Casuals dont bother to work here.You will not get any shifts here.

Very toxic work culture.

Reporting issues not addressed by management.

Just overall very negative work place.
No on the job support 
Other workers are not supportive 
The interview process and onboarding is over the top and just ridiculous in length compared to when you actually start work and then they just ignore you
The do not support any problems you have on the job and allow other workers to undermine you and not be helpful during buddy shifts
Clients are rude and disrespectful which seems to just really complete the level of toxicity in the workplace.
It seems to come down from management.

Terrible, toxic workers who are so stuck in past. Or use weaponised incompetence so they don’t have to do anything

Supporting the most vulnerable is a privilege to me. An honour to go into their home and help them thrive. It’s also very hard to do when staff are toxic and lazy

The job is rewarding but staff constantly struggled with work/ life balance. 
Staff were not supported by management and felt disrespected and dispensable

Always Very busy but the job was rewarding and fun at times.

Management targeted me due to I had more skills. Very disappointing to be treated with such disrespect

The Manager made my life unbearable coworkers would always comment how unfair she was towards me

Some great coworkers but the environment was very toxic

Pulling knives out of my back and walking on eggshells

They will hire just about any one, very little training provided, staff expected to stay past their working schedule even if it interferes with their family life. Zero support from upline management. Lots of encouragement to speak up about issues only for it to be ignored and swept under the carpet.
