The Brisbane office is reasonably good but the workstations are tightly packed together.
Their salary package relies heavily on a highly complex bonus system.
The method of payment of the bonus is poor bordering on unethical. Payment of the annual bonus is spread over the following 3 years. When you leave the bonus that has been accrued in the previous 2 years is forfeited.
There is a heavy Shell influence on the working procedures

A great place to work provided you’re a local. I am a “ring-in” and everything was ok until I was given preferment over a local and promoted from contractor to staff. Then my fellow operators (all locals) closed ranks on me and iced me out. The bullying was relentless and I was made to feel uncomfortable until I found a better opportunity elsewhere. The whole time the bullying was occurring management turned a blind eye. 

15/13 roster with 6 weeks annual leave in total if leave is taken in one go. 
Great bonuses and very understanding about personal leave when needed.
DIDO travel allowance or FIFO flights paid for.
Travel in company time.
Good camp and meals paid for.

It is a good day to day place to work and I am in one of the better Departments in the Lands Dept.
I have learnt and developed my computer and GPS skills from basic knowledge to plotting and finding Coordinates in the field to google earth program systems.
Supervising Cultural / Ecology teams on programs or just normal drill pad sites so it has given me character to perform my duties.

The environment was ever changing and this created unclear objectives for project delivery. At the same time, it presented many opportunities for pragmatic workers who were nimble enough to see the changing of direction early. A good place to work at for challenges however not one for people who like a clear, consistant objective to deliver against.

I was a Drill Stem Testing Rig Operator.  I worked in the field, designed, built and operated testing equipment.

I was on even time roster during the CSG boom in Queensland.  the work was good, but my manager was widely regarded as a waste of oxygen.

Good company to work for, nice office layout and relaxed environment. Conveniently located.
Collaborative people and great project portfolio.
A bit slow on projects execution, and high employee rotation rate. Personnel retention should be one of their strategies.

-Typical day would include maintenance on the wells.
-I learnt a lot about the mining business.
-The management was good to work under.
-the co-workers where happy and easy to get along with.
-Hardest part was having to change from one part of the business to another.
-Most enjoyable part was the work in general.

Great employee benefits and roster, appalling middle to upper level management, toxic office culture, millions wasted on corporate image when not actually making profit on resource

When I first started working at Arrow Energy, it was only a small company with around 13 employees in Dalby, It was a great place to work
The culture was very safety orientated
The Salary/ Benefits were excellent, and the staff I worked with were amazing people.
