All ASQ cares about is money. 
Staff hours? Cut.
About to be further cut.
Staff pay? About to be cut, due to cutting of all staff hours.
Staff resources?  What resources?

New management office? Yes!
New houses with cut staff hours? Yes!

Management:
Toxic, liars, gaslighting, threatening to workers, empty promises to young persons, no communication, no gratitude, expect you to do parts of their job, uncaring and unphased about young persons' issues, no empathy, double standards, excessive expectations, not communicate properly with Child Safety, not respond to urgent incidents or situations when notified, tell higher management one thing and youth workers another, and only coming in for the pay.

Young persons
As all young people with trauma they can be very trying.  But when relationships are established, they are just the best.
If only ASQ's company were the same.

* A day at work consistently seeing 4-5 clients and completing tasks within the time frame. 
* I learnt that some clients can take advantage of you if you're quicker at your job, they want you to do more. Hence some girls take their time to complete the task without any additional work added on.   Unfair really some take pride in their work and can do it quickly yet our reward is more work. Domestic shouldn't be calculated on the time you're there but the quality of your work and the tasks completed.  
*  Management is ok, they're all over worked and have too many things to do.
* Work culture is good
* The hardest is the physical repetitive work and going slow for me
* The most enjoyable, seeing the elderly clients so  happy when you  go to see them and how grateful they are.

The residents as you get to know and care about them

The lack of communication between management and staff

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The workplace itself is fine but the culture is very toxic

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Fast paced and stressful and just you think you have a handle on what you have 5o do it gets changed and the first you know of it is when your getting told off, rules for some but not others and the bullying is next level

Residential youth work in Anglicare is run by inexperience managers. Even if they do have experience, they do not last long in the industry unless they have to turn a blind eye to their negligence towards the youth within out home care or youth workers taking care of them. 

It depends on management. I have worked with many coordinators and child practitioners who like to bark orders than collaborate with youth workers. These managers speak very different to service and region managers. It's baffling.



Plenty of other better organised and better paying companies out there  . I found in office staff to be very rude and unfriendly . They lack support for all workers on the road some times i could spend 40 mins trying to get through to someone.
With the amount of companies that are looking for staff and the given pay rate and travel reimbursement,  I wouldn't bother . 

I enjoyed visiting elderly people and listening to their life stories, so interesting.  They all want to feed you and are very glad to see us. 
I really loved the meetings once a month .  The merit awards were okay however I feel that they were not a well rounded way of knowing diligent great workers because some clients would not be able to fill out forms to send to Anglicare.

Regimental, there is no compassion for staff,,
You ate treated like second class citicen

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy,stressful and always working overtime without pay

Once was an incredible work place with a dedicated team of talented staff who were very supportive of each other. 
 The current situation is the exact opposite with high turnover of staff. 
I recommend choosing to work for an organisation that has a safe and supporting work culture. 

Management needs to be overhauled, the staff to resident ratio is difficult. The staff turnover is incredibly high. Three years of working there gave me severe anxiety, but it did not diminish my passion for aged care. Instead it hurtled me straight into the career that I love that is caring for the elderly and being an advocate for them.

Excellent branch. Highly qualified team members. Great PD opportunities.
Team delivers very good service to both families and individual clients. Team deserves new office, as the current space is not meeting the needs.
