At Anchor Foods can be a challenging environment working as a Process worker particularly on the Production Floor. In most working environments there will always be 1 or 2 people who spoil it for the rest, those persons are lazy or they are machine operator control freaks. It can be difficult when working amongst a group of workers who speak their own language or who have broken english. 

As a new worker to Anchor Foods I most of the time love the fast pace, diversity of different cultures, and developing a rapport with management. The owner of Anchor Foods is a great guy who obviously is passionate about the business and takes Anchor Foods to another level.

I value certain workers who have been at Anchor Foods for more than 6 years because it's these workers who help the new comers to achieve their goals and to understand the procedures and processes for FMG and OHS. In a fast moving environment 1 needs to be up to scatch with their speed, accuracy and excellent eye detail. I can honestly say that I had achieved my speed it took some time but I made it. I think to work at a place like Anchor Foods particularly when the pay is low 1 has to be passionate, and think about customers and consumers. At the end of the day I know that from my achievements, packed, and palletised this is for our consumers because it is our consumers who buy Anchor Food product.

I started working at Anchor Foods during uni holidays and they took me on part time while I finished my commerce studies. Even though initially I worked in the production areas I always felt bigger opportunities existed. Production work was pretty straight forward and it gave me plenty of time after work to complete studies. 
After 2 years I  joined the finance department for experience and again worked partime finishing off my commerce degree. 
This experience gave me a break and has allowed me to join a leading Perth firm in corporate finance.

I could not recommend working here more. Everyone you meet, from the owners to your direct supervisor and co workers will be so friendly and welcoming. I never felt like I could not ask a question and they truly did try their best to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy with the task they have for the day. Although I was only a casual employee they treated me as though I had been there for years. Thank you very much Anchor Foods 😊

Friendly work colleagues who are prepared to share ideas and help each other. 
Most people work really hard, and get a lot out of their job so it is rewarding. Not suitable to lazy people.

Management is toxic and pit you against other staff members. You do not work to your job description but to what management NEEDS you do to for the company. No development opportunities but they expect you to work outside of your role because they won't hire the appropriate people. Monitor when you sign in and out of the office via swipe card to ensure you work your hours. You have to accrue sick leave.

Had a lovely time at Anchor Foods straight from Uni.
It set me up for my move to a large food manufacturing organisation in the Eastern States.
Had the opportunity to work with people across the whole business.
Given lots of responsibility which helped me to grow in my role but can only get to a certain level.
Not many WA companies give uni graduates a chance so it suited me well.

Joined Anchor Foods as a graduate and quickly found my niche in developing packaging and brand designs for a new brand the company was launching.
Very collaborative working style with CEO and technical teams.  Lots of autonomy but also guidance when required.
Very steep learning curve but my personal growth outstanding.  

I was given the opportunity to move on from a line production role into an admin planning and resource allocation role.
I will be forever grateful for being encouraged to push myself - even when I thought I might not have the experience the team said they would support me.
I have never looked back and have grown in capability and experience - thanks team !!

Started as a graduate and worked up to the next level. I learnt so much, with lots of variety. It is fast paced and sometimes a bit demanding but there are so many great people, everyone was prepared to help. I was able to use all the skills I learnt to move to another role, I am grateful for the opportunity.
