I worked there for more than five years, the first four were excellent then they hired a person with a Napoleon complex who managed to turn it into a caustic environment. Instructors had their compensation  drastically reduced worked more hours for less money, travel distances increased for 50 miles to 75  and the mid manager had no intrapersonal skills. One hour was taken from every class reducing my compensation from $6,000 to $8,000 per year 

I worked there for something to do after retiring from 50 years of teaching on all levels from sixth grade through the University of Massachusetts  and into the prison system, my masters degree is in management therefor I think I recognize poor management. By having present instructors resign new hires can be brought in for less money. 

Other divisions like the NAT and Rescue Services are a great place to work

•	Process sales through the cash register accurately in line with Retail Policy and Procedures;
•	Create window and visual merchandising displays, sort donations and price products for sale. 
•	Help to raise funds to support the everyday work of Red Cross through driving and supporting promotional activities within the store; 
•	Assist with general housekeeping and cleanliness of the shop
•	Help to identify hazards, assess risks and report incidents in line with the WHS policy and 
•	Maintain confidentiality and privacy in matters relating to the store, customers, procedures, and security.

Overall pretty good and rewarding place to work. I rate it a 7 out of 10, with some areas needing much improvement like pay scale and benefits. Which includes minimum 1-week year vacation time and low for this type of CPR/AED safety training instruction. They definitely have a Good management team and provide  IT support for training service delivery. I wish my part time hours of 25/week were more defined but it good if u can be flexible time getting use to a part time training

i actully made two friends there but  some of the old ladys would hit you for no reason and that made me quit, i loved working there because it was really amazing the things one finds in the donations. but when i complanied about being hurt by one of my co-workers nothing happened. it was like the manager didnt care because i was young and didnt understand my elders but i actully respect the older people. so to be hit for no reason every time i walked past the co worker was horrible and to not of been taken serisely was disrespectful. i would never work there again.

•she is Natasha Blucher : team Leader- migration support programs.
•I am doing such a great jobs and I don't think my jobs are hard(volunteer work for Red Cross AND Multicultural Council of the NT Inc )
•I enjoy all the time.

Dressing windows in such a small store, and then taking the items down weeks later is hard, especially when you're in a group of 7 and there's only room for 3 or 4. 
It was a mother's day sale and we had to design and construct a red cross window for two boutiques. I was placed in Richmond, a very small store. But that in a way had it's benefits, it could be done in less than 3 hours.

When I work there, you can see that you can trust the people you are working with because they are always here to help you out.
They believe on you because they let you work on your own.
Unfortunately, I didn't stay there long because I was replacing someone so I couldn't learn a lot.

The hardest part of the day would be standing outside for hours collecting funds for charities with all these people crossing the street just to avoid you. 
Others made my day by simply coming up to us volunteers because they wanted to have a chat or donate. 
It was always amazing to put a smile on someone's face while on the clock!

The American Red Cross is a great place to work where what you do matters in the lives of others in need of compassion, care and support. There are several area within the organization that a person can work and each is an essential part of the overall mission of the organization.

while working at red cross, I was able to build friendship groups not just rapport. I learnt many things during work especially while on site, 

The hardest part of work was not knowing if you would be able to volunteer, especially if there were a lot of applicants.
The enjoyable part of work was getting free entry to events
