a typical day at work depends on were you are put at allied Pickford's you do not know what job you are doing or who you are working with until you arrive at work that morning you also don't know if you are working either until you see the roaster. if you are in stores then you will be in one of three districts domestic which handles local delivery's  or international which handles overseas delivery's., you may also help in waste management if there isn't much work elsewhere. if your on the road then you are given your team truck number and paperwork, and then sent on your way to do either an uplift or a delivery to the clients house. I learnt the correct way to move furniture, I also learnt the procedures that are used to keep track of furniture and many other things management at allied Pickford's is mostly good there have been times when I doubt there competency but overall there okay. co- workers are great iv learnt so much from the men and women that I work with. the hardest part of the job would be moving some types of furniture which are either to awe quad or very heavy. getting past the mental barrier that you cannot lift something, and some clients. the people there are what make the job good.

I worked with my father to begin with, helping him with removal jobs the company provided. It was just him and I, in the beginning.
Working with family can be tough, but we had a good relationship and encouraged each other every day. Made work enjoyable.

Management was 'sometimes' unorganised and not really kind to its employees. There were a lot of complaints within the workers, but they made up for it with wages.

The workplace culture and environment wasn't always great, but the different ethnicities did get along and did work together.

The hardest part of the job was definitely the loading and unloading of appliances and furniture due to weight management, but a rewarding task when it came to strength in the long run.

The most enjoyable part of the job was working with my Father. He put no pressure on me, as he knew my capabilities, I got to listen to my own music and interacting with different cultures every day.

This place will flog you day after day until you are burnt out. Some days if u are with a contractor u might have to move 3 houses (+ 100m2 ) of furniture for the day then rock up the next morning and do it again. If u get hurt or are sick they will laugh at you. 
Staff bickering is a constant. Many of the staff have spent time in jail. Operations are incompetent and will criticise your work - even tho they have never touched a piece of furniture in their lives. 
Management also play games with you- if you take a sick day they will try to punish you by giving you the next 3 off. 
Also if u are casual and it goes quiet u will be lucky to get 1 or 2 days a week and they will make u feel like they are doing you a favour. 
Overall not worth the effort there are much easier ways to make money.

A typical day at work involves to handling of furniture and other house hold equipment, unpacking of customers belongings. 

I learnt about how to handle various different weights of furniture, how to secure a container full of content.

Management is a key part of any job, at allied pickfords we excel in this department. The management crew is always a reliable source and are flexible with your hours. 

Hardest part of the job would be the unloading of heavy materials from one container to another 
Easiest part of the job is coming to work knowing whatever you face for that day it will be done with precision and if done correctly it will go very quickly

- A typical day at work would be busy, but a quiet office environment with only myself, my manager and his wife in the office most of the day

- The hardest part of the job would've been making sure clients were paid up to date for storage and making sure each job was paid for the day before you could leave for the day

- The most enjoyable part of the job would've been the fact that I worked with good, genuine people who always had your best interest at heart

I loved working for Allied Pickfords Esperance, which gave me great responsibilities. To schedule staff to daily tasks. Going to potential clients houses and walking through there house and listing all the things they would like to be transported and then back to depot, to organise quote for potential clients, either repling back by phone or email there service propsal quote. Then Programming the next days schedule. The noumerus phone calls to attend too.

a typical day consisted of loading and unloading the trucks and delivering goods to the customer, I learned alot of things whilst at this job learnt certain knots and tieing techniques to tie things off on the trucks,
management treated us well told us what jobs we where on for the day asked boys if they wanted overtime.

the most enjoyable part of the day was being at a different location each day always doing something different

The removalist industry is extremely hard work. If you are entering this industry, be prepared for heavy lifting and strenuous work. A typical day at work involved arriving at the depot early in the morning and getting into the truck with the driver and a fellow worker. We would then drive to our designated house and pack the truck full of all the furniture while wrapping most of it in moving blankets. Finishing a day of work is extremely satisfying as it is extremely hard work and you have definitely earned your dollar.

The entire process. The employees are antagonistic, the environment is toxic.

Mental health nightmare  is what this place is. Harley Hodges has ruined this company single handedly. Toxic.

An absolute nightmare and mental health hazard.

A typical day at work usually started at 6 or 7am and usually finished when all jobs for the day were done. I learnt how to pack boxes, how to handle valuables, how to unpack the boxes. It was always a friendly environment to work in. The hardest part of the job would have to have been when another team does not pack the customers boxes right, and the customers valuables end up broken. The most enjoyable part of the job would defiantly be seeing how satisfied a customer is at the end of a long day.
