A typical day at work is being micro management by people who have little qualifications and life experience.

Workers are on a monitoring system that is focuses on negativity.

Bullying is rampant in this company and is managed by victim blaming.

You are forbidden to discuss your salary with anyone in the organisation. You are never told what level of pay you are on, when it was requested you are refereed to the SACS award. 

You received a confidential email stating that you would be receiving   yearly bonus and weren't to discuss it with anyone.

The turn over in some departments was extremely high for a company that considers to pride themselves on being a strength based organisation.

I witnessed caseworkers who were passionate and capable workers breakdown because of the lack and support by Managers.

The work culture is supportive to those that don't question and do as they say and are part of the selected group who started the organisation or are related in some way.The funding it wasted on this group who drive around in expensive 4WD and doesn't get where it is needed. 

I believe that the funding given this organisation should be seriously reviewed. There are better smaller organisations that actually care about their client and workers far better than Allambi Care.

Allambi is a family run business who care about money.
They hire 20 year olds straight out of induction with no experience what so ever to run kids lives,  these CWMs also get on powertrips and make workers feel like kids themselves rather then showing support. 

They say if you do well on a bad team for a while you'll be given a break which is false. If You are a good worker you stay with rough clients and they  dont care if you burn out. 

They will pretend like they will support you but only say that to complete there paperwork. You dont get called to see if your ok.

The system is also a joke that tends sabotage kids progression, kids will start to turn their lives around and allambi instantly changes their living situation or life and they relapse back to bad behaviors. Because lets face it, bad kids mean more money. Sad but true. 

Anyways i could go on forever, do not get a job here there are much better company's who will care about you as a worker

Do not get a job with Allambi! You will have to do 6 days of unpaid pointless training. No job support once you start your job and you get put straight in the deep end with violent, sometimes homicidal clients which training does not prepare you for. Where do I begin with Managment? HR/ On-call/ Case managers are the most unprofessional and unreliable people you will ever come across. All Management at Allambi suffer from superiority complex but low key they all have mild intellectual disabilities. - which might explain why the company have no communication when it comes to organising and planning with workers. 
DO NOT WORK FOR THIS UNETHICAL/UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY. They treat there workers like numbers and do not care about the well-being of there workers or clients.

The positive reviews on here reek of management attempting to fix their ratings.
The organisation is unethical at every level. 
It has the highest turn over rate of any company in Newcastle
The CEO is being investigated for embezzlement and fraud. 

You get no sufficient training or support for workers.

The worst part is seeing the children continuing to suffer under non-govenrment care. After having to leave when I watched children sexually assaulting each other in the resi care, I can't believe I stayed so long. The new reforms into non-govenrmnt care can't come soon enough.

As a Youth Care Worker you have the responsibility of a Client making sure they get their education, diet and activities meet to their needs.

You are guaranteed 8 hours every shift you are on as the Client will need 24/7 care with the help of The Youth Worker. There are Day shifts and Night Shifts, most Night shifts you are required to sleep over.

For someone who is studying at University, Allambi Youth Service is an exceptional job to start from. The Experience you get can be a benefit to your future in any Workforce.

My role with Allambi Youth Services included providing care for children with difficult backgrounds that had been placed in the care of the minister. The children were both male and female and ranged from ages as young as 5 to 17 years of age. My primary tasks included formal report writing, observational note drafting, meal preparation for the child/ren, house cleaning duties, attentiveness to the child's needs e.g. medication administration, pack lunches for school, prepare uniforms etc, manage petty cash and house finances.

I was with this company for several years and throughout I witnessed client abuse, bullying, manipulation, blackmailing and other petty things usually starting from management. They don't care about their clients let alone their workers. Sad as they have so many beautiful clients. With so many uneducated people within the management of this company it is no wonder it is run like a school yard with a pecking order.

My training through Allambi was exciting.  I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work for a company that cared so much about the care of their children.
Once working within the company I found their whole company was a sham.  The way children and staff were managed went against my moral beliefs.

Allambi is the most rewarding place i have ever worked because I am so passionate about working with children. Some days were better than others but there was always strong management and solid support systems to help everyone along the way.

not supportive didn't look after staff always a bad day at work and always back stabbing going on.
Clients aren't looked after properly by management  as money was more important than well being.
