Advanced Traffic Management

It used to be a great place to work with proper overtime rates and annual and sick leave, then we became labour hire and are contractedout to Advanced Traffic Management. We work for ATM but are paid by Skill Hire.
Now there is no leave entitlements and you must do a 10 hour day to go onto overtime, then it's 3 hours of 150%, then you finally go onto double time. After 13 hours!!
If you work a public holiday you are only paid penalty rates for 10 hours, then it drops back. All penalties are calculated from the base rate (much lower than normal rate) and Sunday is 175% instead of 200%.
Very bad EBA!! No longer under construction award, now under miscellaneous award.
Super is paid correctly and on time.

typical day was kind of busy and stressful, especially when crew leader. get to work (normally between 0500 and 0700), get a job sheet, allocated a crew and a ute and sent to site. site then is to be set up according to the plan we were given that morning and to clients needs. the hardest part of the job is when crew leading and not given the right number of staff or given the wrong plan for the day, then we had to figure out an alternative set up that is equally as safe and efficient, and potentially call for more staff if needed. the most enjoyable part is working outside with different people everyday, no two days are the same, and talking to all different clients who perform all different jobs.

New employees get sent out with the bare minimum training. 
Many new starts are from job agencies with a government pay subsidies, that once the subsidy is used up, so do the shifts.
Informing management about medical issues is met with total indifference and any responsibility palmed off onto a team leader who has no idea about medical issues and what to do.
Traffic plans often aren't correct and calling the office rarely gets any results other than "do what you can".

Setting up and taking down roadwork sites, controlling traffic through radio communication throughout the day.
I learned to have mental patience, and interesting facts from the contractors we worked for.
Management would respect your wishes and treat you right.
Members of staff are game for a laugh.
The hardest part of the job is not having anything to do on quiet roads.
The most enjoyable part is having the time to think when you need it in your life.

In my 4 years at Advanced Traffic Management I learned a great deal from some really good operators. ( Thanks Captn. ) 

Management is good and organised.

Equipment and vehicles all Aus standards approved and well maintained.

I love this job.

Lots of teamwork. Each day we would check the vehicles, signs and other equipment for the job, ensuring it's all safe and secure etc.

We'd meet up with our clients and do safety checks before we start the day.
Very well managed and has a nice cultural work environment. 
There are many long hour shifts but there are benefits such as the pay.

To whom this may concern.
I have had continuously been involved in traffic management for the past 20 years, both on the roads and in management roles.
I am looking for long term fulltime employment my skills and experiences are extensive..
The team are great I just require job security 
I am lucky that I do have at least 40 Hrs per week

What ever you needed thay tried to help you with it's a pity that you can't talk to the safty officer or the Forman of the other company for thats what I did so thay wouldn't give me eny more work for about 2weeks you see I wasn't the crew leader

very unprofessional company who do not pay there workers enough money and do not tray workers very well.
Company do not pay overtime rates for midweek or nightshift works apart from a weekend when time and a half is paid for both Saturdays & Sundays

all industries are practically the same,
-text the night before work/ if you dont get a text you dont work
-on call all the time not knowingly/ dont get paid to be on call
-favourable in company 
-no full time employment
