Kept me working good hours for as long as I was fit I was promised to be “looked after” when I was right for work after I needed surgery due to getting injured on one of their sites (I didn’t put in a workcover claim cause of 1.stupid loyalty to Action and the guy who hired me 2. I’d kiss any warehouse role in the future goodbye if I did) plenty of “I’ll see what’s around” “I’ll let you know when I find something suitable” etc with no further response so I got work else where. The pay rate was really good compared to others but also depends on where you work but check your payslips as mistakes were always made usually in their benefit of course. I worked at 2 really good companies but one place was the worst and made everyone who worked there as a casual miserable if you don’t take a sickie ever even if sick, don’t ask for holidays or always on time don’t complain and meet kpis you should find yourself with a decent amount of hours but if you are hired for peak season be prepared to lose your job without any notice at all when things start to slow down

I was told that there was plenty of work available in and around my area but they keep on giving me shift that are over an hours drive away from where I live or no shift for weeks or even months, no structure-no system. So, at the interview I did a questionnaire as to where and how far I was willing to travel, but that has fallen on deaf ears. Management keeps on changing and it’s always someone different to report too, to get shifts. Pay is incorrect most times but payroll resolves issues immediately. Communication is not great either, no one bothers to return calls, emails and/or messages. When you are sent to a rural assignment you have to have ESP and do the guess work. You won’t be given an itinerary upon accepting the assignment to plan whether you can take on other shifts the day before or after and you have to be a pain in the butt and constantly nag. Which isn’t a great trait to have but it leaves you no choice to get some answers. Was told to invest in steel cap shoes black only and black pants. Most staff wear jeans, jeggings, leggings, runners, pink or tan steel cap. It’s very disorganised. Basically, no care factor:-(

Ever since going on they’re books, and told them the days I was available to work, I either get called at hours on days I haven’t been available to come in and told them what days I can work. I was offered a shifts and accepted them then never heard back and then found out they’d been cancelled. I was also told that the certain days I’m actually available  restricted me to working one site that is near impossible for me to get home from.

There are too many cons with this place, there is no organisation within that agency, labour hire is unpredictable and if you want to find a labour hire company that can give you better offers then avoid Action Workforce.

A typical day at work. Checking on emails to do follow-ups or extra orders that have dropped in over nite if any, process any orders that have dropped into our systems pick and pack orders that are outstanding or urgent. The team is always there to help and support when necessary. The hardest part of the day is when so many orders drop in that are urgent or a client wants their shipments asap and you have to organize transport and shipments to get to them asap. The best part of the day is ALWAYS home time. :-)

When you first sign up and promised all these shifts. Two weeks down the track, you’re lucky to get one or two. When you ring up to ask for more shifts, they tell you there is no work, but then you hear from colleagues they have had 4-5 shifts every week. A lot of favouritism in the work place and if you’re not in with the team leaders, you hardly get any shifts.
Poor management from both Action and the team leaders who all need a lesson on how to speak to staff.
DON’T WORK FOR THEM!!!

My experience with this labour hire agency was very disappointing. When I called to clarify some basic questions, the staff member spoke to me in a rude and dismissive tone. I felt talked down to and not treated with any respect.

Professional communication should be the bare minimum, and based on this interaction, I wouldn't feel comfortable working with them or recommending them to others.

If you enjoy being finding out if you have work the next day at the end of the day and like 4am phone calls to be in at 5am, then it could be great.
Don't understand how they cant set up a weekly roster almost felt like they didnt have a clue what they were doing and just got the job through there mates. Pays good but only get full hrs in peak periods, outside of those periods you will struggle to get 20hrs.
Steriod use if highly rewarded and WHS is not required

Warehousing jobs sorting and palletising and doing what the manager finds you to do

To be late at work because we have to achieve the target every day

None all the same I worked on weekdays and weekends

Stuff you around constantly and use you when it’s good for them.will beg you to come into work one week then don’t call you in for 2 months then again will call you for a week or 2 then after nothing again. So unreliable and won’t tell you there isn’t any work. Don’t understand that people need to pay things and they are fun by the government to help people out with work but don’t even give you work. Also stuff up pay almost every week and a hassle to get back. Such a joke.

Working for AWF was a dream 
Very nice and kindly people 
Every time I call them they have a solution for my problem 
The send me every day email or txt messages to inform me for any changes or about work or about health and security government orders 
They keep me update all the time 
I’m very happy to find this company 
If in the closer future can find me a job with 8 hours work will be great because the 5 hours is not enough
