Is a exciting sales environment with great management and support staff to build, shape and motivate sales representatives. A typical day at work is broken up into two 4 hour shifts in which outbound calls cold and warm leads with the goal of achieving minimum of 1 sale per shift. 

From day one with a detailed and informative training allows even the most green sales person to give it there all with the tools to succeed, ultimately finding if he/she has it. What i have learned working with Accor Advantage Plus, a vast amount of sales technique, the ability to analyse personal performance and customer relations management.

The team has a mix of ages and backgrounds making it a fun and lively bunch, one of the most important things is that there is several members who have been working for several years who are willing to share their insight and experience into the art of selling the product.

The hardest part of the job was the adversity that is sales. Due to the differing variables that clients present when obtaining the sale. Hardest parts were often convincing customers to purchase the membership by finding and creating needs for the membership when they strong objections.

The most enjoyable part of the job would have to be the energy and feeling of triumphant of securing a sale, knowing that you had helped a customer purchase something that was going to benefit their life, as well as the feeling of winning the mental battle that is sales.

When I interviewed for a Maintenance position, my manager told me not to bother with Sebel, I'd be better of elsewhere. He was a good boss, and the only reason I stayed as long as I did, which ended up being 8 months of wasted time. During the first month,  another staff member resigned and left in tears after being bullied out by management. The GM then started a rumor  about another staff member being pregnant, only to put her on salary when the rumor got around. This staff member is now going on maternity leave, leaving the GM looking pretty silly. 
My hours were cut from 4 days to 2, soon after my wife made a complaint the GM about her treatment. My manager helped me out by making my days set, so I could do other work, but the GM changed my days for no reason. When I asked my manager why my days were being changed, he said it was the GM. When I asked the GM, I was flat out lied to, as she said she never changes the roster. The next day I witnessed The GM and the assistant manager, changing the rosters. The final straw was when the GM expected me to go back to 4 days when my manager resigned. 
After owning and operating my own Accomodation business for 5 years, I honestly can't believe how this place is run. Staff are a businesses most valuable asset. Without good staff, things will fall apart, as Sebel Pinacle Valley Resort is proving

Management thinks only about themselves, staffs work hard but their pay underpays because they announce position by month but don't pay according to it. No back pay for a previous management position duties. No development or training in most properties. 
Management doesn't conduct appraisal or job opening for old staff but hire friends or family to work in a position. They enjoy free meals, drinks and sit during busy days at work whiles they ain't invited to join a table or guest ss well as give a blind eye to staff working during busy days. Such s bad environment and culture. 
When hardworking staff turns to leave they treat them badly, or they offer better position and raise the salary to keep them. Some mgt can swear, argue, gossip, and have no conscious sense to notify their negative energy makes staffs who energetic to retaliate. 

Accor is a good brand no a great place to develop or stay in the future. They always want you to sacrifice to the job, when trust is respected, no upliftment is lost. 
Good luck to newcomers some might excel but not all. 

I was employed for over 3 weeks. 1.5 Training + 1.5 On the Phone.
This maybe a job for someone that has never done cold calls before or doesn't take no for an answer and doesn't need the money much. Your expected to make 5 Full Presentations per shift (4hrs). I'd make over 60calls with 4 presentations. It was a tough job for me trying to sell a membership deal to Churches, YMCA's, Solicitors, Accountants, Doctors, Dentists, The Chessecake Shop franchises, Business Hotlines (Dominos, Jenny Craigs etc...) You only contact businesses, and ask for people that work there. I got a lot of employees in trouble, and even gotten Management angry as I always had 1 number for atleast 10 people working there. I had to change my voice and name many times. $318 paid training/ if you don't make any sales. $20 for completed sale, but paid about 10days later. Staff are really friendly. Give it a go, you might like it. But they have a big turn over like every few weeks newbies will come and go...

Do not work at Accorplus as the place is toxic ( high level of workers leaving due to poor management and lack of training). I started without a formal training on products and when an issue arise where customers are abusive you are alone resolving the problem as managers are not willing to take calls or to follow up major issue( send an email to managers but then no follow up). I saw  managers addressing to workers in abusive way lacking professionalism (manager patting staff on shoulders to get their attention when having headphones on /in 2020 managers should have learnt to do not touch staff members) and as a consequence there has been a high level of staff rotation and dissatisfaction as discussed by other colleagues.I would like to praise the senior colleagues in Member Relations who have been always helpful and more knowledgeable compared to managers.

Thoroughly enjoyed working at the Mercure Hotel as a Front of House Staff member being able to set up many of the reservations as part of their inhouse Q Reservations system.

When starting work each day, I would be required to speak to colleagues who were finishing their shift for their day.  Enquire about any special conditions for reservations or bookings.

As part of the valet or concierge work, there would be requirements to understand what each guest wanted as part of their vehicles being parked outside the hotel lobby.

Management of the front desk were awesome and extremely helpful.  All of the guests were friendly and really liked to see Aboriginal people being employed as bookings or front desk employees.

If I could go back here I would, the managers where amazing, the staff where devine, they teach you life skills and work skills, they have the time to teach you their systems without the you in the deep end.

They care about your problems if your in hardship ...
They have strict dress code, but other then that, they give plenty of job opportunities and will always trust you enough despite your age..

What is the best part of working at the company?
Do not come to Accor if you are experience there is no value for its employees it's just only knows to follow it's principles on customers from employees not a good company I regret 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working with inexperienced managers who don't know what's going on or they can't think how to improve n still want to be managers 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is good with colleagues makes good team but not company n it's management never

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Do my own job n finish shift, all ideas are waste to tell into deaf ears because managers thinks they doing right

The company is exceptional in customer service and thrives to give customer satisfaction.  Where the company lets itself down is it employees from any group that gives it a financial return.  Thus the company gets its' staff from groups that are from employment services, overseas students and welfare groups.  Most of the staff are from overseas countries and have basic English skills, if any.  Practically all the housekeeping staff are on 457 visas.  The company has a real struggle trying to provide alter mate customer satisfaction when being restrained by financial management.

I enjoyed my time with the Ibis hotel. Each day was different as I worked in housekeeping. So some days I might be working with myself & others I would be buddied up with another colleague of mine. I made a lot of friends while working at the hotel that I still keep in touch with to this day. 
The hardest part about the job was when people wouldn't show up to work for their shift leaving the rest of us to clean their rooms, but we all worked as a team & managed to make it through the day.
The most enjoyable part of the job for me was seeing my productivity go up each week as I could see my time in each room was improving.
