Where to start.. The rate of pay is lower than average. No annual leave/public holiday entitlement or superannuation, you're classed as an independent contractor so responsible for own tax contributions.

The work is very unrewarding, the agency and the client both have extremely high expectations of their cleaners. A lot of work goes in to the admin side of things - searching daily for new jobs (the alerts on their app do not work so you don't get notified of new job postings - this means constantly checking the app), arranging your own roster, contacting the client to confirm their booking, trying to arrange regular services by day/time and location to ensure minimum travel distance between jobs, doing a meet or greet with the client in advance (or arriving early to the first job), sending invoices, chasing payments - all of this behind the scenes work is very time consuming and is UNPAID!

By the time you factor all this in plus the additional insurance fees for each job, fuel expenses for travel time, and tax deductions, the hourly rate is very poor in this current economic climate.

The client can also have unrealistic expectations when it comes to the length of time things can take. Most expect their entire homes to be cleaned from top to bottom in two hours, and will then ask for extra things 'if you have the time' (there is never time), which means the quality of work is compromised. Don't expect to get paid extra for going over the allotted time.

In addition, the whole recruitment process was very misleading. There turned out to be hardly any work in my area, despite the job advertisement that I applied for recruiting for cleaners in my suburb and surrounding areas. There is very little chance of this becoming a full time position, which is what I applied for. My area manager could offer zero assistance with this. In fact there was very little guidance or support from the company and team leader in general, unresponsive to emails and messages.

You're basically self employed but with none of the perks, and Absolute Domestics do absolutely nothing to earn their fee.

I don't know where to start about what is wrong with these guys.
- good luck getting through on the phone
- don't count on any help
- they set your rate even though you're a contractor and legally you should be paid more
- often the tasks required take longer than the allocated time
- clients can leave you reviews but you can't leave them reviews
- hope you enjoy cleaning bodily fluids off shower walls
- clients don't always pay you and there's no way to make them
- clients will sometimes film you
- expect to be slandered and insulted

Being made welcome and understood with the informative training would certainly help anyone thinking about a career change which suits their lifestyle while providing a service to the public.

It's always a nice feeling when after i finished my job that my clients are satisfied and happy.  I also learned how to improved my job, how to communicate well with my clients, making sure i followed their instructions

Not enough work not to mention the work was very hard especially in summer when the heat is unbearable and some houses dont have aircons or fans so you have to sweat it out...very tiring and they take $19 out of each clean.

Its good to be working with this team.Very helpful and energetic.You will learn more from time to time.Job are more and more.You will learn more tecnics.And met new people.

Loved working there.Some houses were easy to clean and others hot and strenuous, but there was always work available, which was a very big advantage, would recommend to anyone with cleaning experience.

Productive and friendly workplace.
It was a one person work so there is no interactions with co workers or management.
The hardest part is insolation if one has accident there will be no one to help

This is a good company to work for, however there is not enough available work so I am seeking a role to increase the hours or completely move into a new role. I love working in a team environment.

I have found Absolute Domestics to be a good company in the way of plenty of work, pay and flexibility. Id like to see a little more organization but over all i am quite happy working here.
