I joined AT&T shortly after the 1983 divestiture and worked there throughout major changes in the industry and company. Experienced: downsizings, restructure, reengineering, union conflict different leadership styles, etc. I also experienced expansion, innovation, process improvements, raised standards and the challenge of bing in company determined to learning to operate in a competitive landscape. Overall It was a fun 15 year experience during which I had opportunities for learning, growth and management autonomy that are hard to replicate in today's environment. I never thought I would see it this way but, in retrospect,I see that the parts of the company in which I worked were actually very effective.

I went through 4 managers in my first four months. Unrealistic expectations for sales in such a slow store. 

Was informed our store was closing on a short phone call from corporate along with all the other AT&Ts in the state aside for two locations. It felt like they just crossed a line out of stores to close and gave a very half fast you are closed and said they don't know any information, remember to keep selling bye.

Had nice coworkers and assistant manager so that helped. They were always there to help me if I was having a problem with the system or just to help me sell something. Poor response to COVID. Being a new hire there is next to no work life balance at all. My entire time there I had no vacation and inconsistent schedule every week which was annoying. You do get a great employee discount.

I like working in the metal industry as I enjoy what I do and enjoy taking on a good challenge. I have experience in heavy metal Fabrication, Arc welding, Mig welding, Stick welding, Tig welding, soldering. I've also worked with Grinders, drills and i'm good with measurements. I'm an outside the box thinker and like to try new ways around things. I'm a good independent worker that can work unsupervised. I work well underpressure. Previously I've worked on Cement trucks and fully fabricated frames. Plus a whole variety as per resume. So if your interested please review resume.

This was my first time to work in a call center industry. I was a bit anxious during my first week working but then when I was able to cope with the environment and culture I start enjoying working.   Here our customers were form Chicago Illinois, they were the subscriber of the Chicago Tribune a newspaper in their area.
We assisted them with their concerns, complaints, inquiries and others.
It's challenging and stressful working but with our co-workers we learned to enjoy and love the job.

Had a good experience with AT&T overall.  It was a union job so it has its pro & cons. 

I worked in Repair side of Company. Worked directly with consumer and business customer on POTS, DSL and T1 lines.  Lots of overtime in Winter and during storm outage callouts.  Worked with 16 other repairmen in my assigned field office

Very little in the way of assistance or teamwork, the platforms are very very old, broken most of the time. I had 5 managers three of which i never met face to face? Maybe in place of buying media companies, they should focus on building a strong networking company?? and really taking care of all the people that work there.

Although you get to work around lots of technology - get great benefits. the retail environment is on shaky ground.  There have been massive layoffs and more expected to come.  I would not recommend retail to anyone - the hours are rough and do not provide a great work life balance as well as the extreme sales pressure added to you

The place is really good and has lots of fun activities. Understanding and supportive management. 

- Used to help clients identify their needs with lots of savings. 
- Discussing bills, technical support, and certainly upselling as well.

- People are energetic and so friendly.

 


Horrible pay structure heavily based on your luck and it’s closing direct tv new customers installing dishes on their homes and starting service with us  cell phone store that pays you more to push its bad cable than its quality smart devices

Great company to work for. As always your subject to your immediate supervisors. Some were good and some were not. Despite significant time and money spent on training still felt thrown to the dogs for the first year.
