Pros

ANZ Organization was good place to work with great culture, people and opportunities to learn and develop until 2019, Great learning and development opportunity if you take initiative and depending which business you are in out of 26 + different business divisions. Opportunities to move within divisions to learn different industries. Great functional support and often exercise open door policy, Well structured, with accountability. Pay may not be great at times however overall package is good including hidden benefits such as accrued medical leave. Great place for a new starters, offers great exposure. Used to be a place people join and stay until retire, If you fit in, you will be there for a long time if not you will leave in under 3 years. Company with strong ethics and compliance.

Cons

Can be highly bureaucratic with a lot of unwanted red tape that can come in the way of growth and customer satisfaction delivery, A lot of process to get anything done, Situation became worse after 2019 with great global restructured approach with Adv. 3M, however with very poor execution. Became very short term focused and seem to have lost its way and relevance after 2019. Despite all processes in place, makes a mess out of acquisitions, either ends up ruining the business acquired or ends up impacting the entire organization. Only a few acquisitions turned out to be successful. HR project teams handling divestitures at US H/O level are one of the worst.

Advice to Management

Make 3M great again !, Put all the bureaucratic red tape in place to make better acquisition decisions and not for day to day operations and decision making. Treat employees the same way when a business is divested. They were all former employees who served the organization.

I worked for 3M for the majority of my working life. Although the company has changed a lot in the last few years. It was a family company everybody new everyone else and their families. we used to have lots of family activities. People suported each other both on the job and off and many of us made life long friendships at 3M. Whilst it was a big company with a large sales and marketing force as well as a supportive administrative force the company never forgot the human side of their employees unlike today in most companies.

A typical day at work is being out on the road visiting customers.
I have learnt how hospitals are run and how 3M's products have a positive impact on patients lives.
Management is good in the sense that you can progress throughout the company, but in terms of how the company is run, there is definitely room for improvement.
My colleagues are great, they are what makes it worthwhile coming in to work.
The hardest part of the job is introducing new products into hospitals.
The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing your new products being used by hospitals.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Very bored, unhappy supervisor, very rude lady.i left due to poor quality 


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Having a supervisor always stress out.Slow working nothing to do .not good

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very dusty and need to wear a oxygen mask and a vacuum sealed helmet 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Again I say boring and working with a mean lady doesn't help..

This is the great environment to work in Vietnam. I have a chance to do, to think, to share any innovation to leaders, co-workers. Moreover, I can study and understand clearly about Supply chain, how the big company has operated all around the world. And the hardest part with me is when demand is so high, supply is overloaded. Thanks to the circumstances, I have learned many lessons.

Family friendly and flexible. Good employee benefits and culture.
Management are moved around divisions often with very little understanding of the various and diverse businesses. Mostly have only worked at 3M and push the 3M way. Too process driven which leads to major inefficiencies . 


Diversely cultured & enjoyable place to with. Many highlights in challenges we seek on a daily basis through certain expectations, that overcome with a desirable taste of sheer commitment of teamwork. There are many opportunities given to proven worthy of such value within the workforce.

Gain more experience from former Manager, Engineers. Learned to use different kind of tools equipment, Liaise with customer, resolved all customer complains worked with outside auditors and worked as an internal auditor to make sure that all procedure are followed.

I truly enjoyed my time working at 3M right up until we were made redundant due to closure. An amazing place to work with a great team environment and great management. The work was fast paced and we had job rotations every hour. They were very good with work safe practices as well
