I am currently in my third year of a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Supply Chain and Logistics Management.
For over 8+ years, I have worked part-time and full-time in warehouse operations, freight operation, and storage operations at Toll, NHP and Australian Air Express warehouses. I have gained experience and skills in managing operations, monitoring transport and logistics operations, general management of warehouse and storage operations. I have gained practical experience in advanced computer and administrative skills and I show a strong attention to detail at all times. I also have great interpersonal and customer service skills developed from working in various logistics and customers service roles. My previous positions as a customer service representative at Budget Car rental, a dispatch team member, freight sorter, and a volunteer interpreter involved dealing with customers. I have developed excellent administrative, organisational and research skills with the ability to follow through and exercise independent judgement. I have the ability to priorities to obtain satisfactory outcomes. I have proven ability to work under tight timeframes and work independently with minimal supervision whilst using a high level of discretion. I possess strong written and oral communication skills, and proven ability to work as part of team. As a team member, I am mindful of my role and the roles of others to ensure successful outcomes are achieve. I have been part of teams that take a problem-solving approach to tasks and have helped formulate action plans. These skills and ex

Very disapointed about work of Talent Acquisition Manager (Toll Group)
I applied for a role with TOLL and after received call for an interview (it was at the end of March 2019). Upon arrival at the office, I was asked to fill in a pile of documents that included all of my personal data (as if I should have started work immediately). After filling out the documents and interview with the Talent Acquisition Consultant, it turned out that at the moment they have nothing concrete, but they will shortly send me weblinks to other documents that need to be filled out and tests that need to be passed. 4 days gone - nothing... and after my polite reminder, the consultant apologized to me and explained that she was made redundant and now other staff will care about me. By the way, I received the requested links and submitted all what was required. After one month I decided to send them polite reminder about myself. They came back and said that there is nothing at the moment... After another month I saw their advertisement for the position, which was interested to me and wrote them again. The Talent Acquisition Manager, which is, obviously only one who I could be in touch about the job - sent me only one email with some job related questions and disappear after that. I tried to contact her - on the phone (girls told me always that she is not at work or she is on the phone and will call me back - it was NEVER happened). She didn't reply on my emails. I am absolutely in shock and disappointed with the TOLL personnel agency service. Total disrespect and disr

Productive and co-hesive team
Starting early to review schedule and email quotations. Continue on to appointments. Updating data base at the end of the day and submit quotations and essential criteria to management via email for approval. Two days in the office phoning potential customers and making appointments. 30 new business call per day each and every day. Arranging 10 new business appointments for forthcoming week . This would be Monday and Friday at which time also liaising with Management and co-workers. Meeting budget for month and reporting on pipeline for upper level management. I enjoy meeting with clients and also phoning potentials and have successfully brought on new business along with maintaining my client base and creating growth with the existing clients. The most enjoyable part of my work within the office is having a great team around me that all share information to help each other. The hardest part of my job is being frustrated at times due to a potential loss of a client due to the operation team letting the client down, thus creating more work for myself to make sure I spend time with the client and marry through the best outcomes for them. I hate to lose a customer as this is not part of my agenda. Regarding what I have learned: Every day is a lesson in how I can perform in a better way - be it be via advise from my managers or my personal experience with different scenarios presented by my existing or potential clients, which helps me to think laterally.
ProsFlexibility of designing my shedule for the day with full management trust in my ability
ConsBeing micromanaged

Accounts payable and General Ledger processes. Working in these roles has required exceptional skills such as delivering high quality customer service, reconciliations, accounting systems, the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Adapted very quickly to Toll Group various accounting/operations software - Unibis, Pronto, Toll Works Toll Group management - professional, very supportive, open communication and transparent, focus on safety Workplace culture - professional, supportive, respectful, empowering and continuous improvement The desire for perfection which actually made me a very strong administrative with high attention to detail Successfully collected and reduced account receivables debts by over 10% (3 million approx.) for Toll Group business units and developed solutions for cash allocation processes to be more efficient maximising productivity Achieving goals and have a passion to work, very loyal and hard worker

Not a good place to work.
You will find all the stereo types you've heard about warehouse workers. Lazy, poor management, poor work ethics and backstabbing. It seems like people in here will take advantage of you if they ever get the chance. So if you do decide to work here, I suggest you play fire with fire and work "smart" like the rest. There is an unfair advantage with some workers due to a friendship with upper management. So if you see any lazy workers who are still there, someone in upper management are really helping them out. You will be working with a bunch of people who will judge you from what you do outside of work, so don't ever be someone who does nothing after work because you will not get no respect. Better to not talk to anyone if you do decide to work here long because people in there are sensitive especially about who makes more money. The money is only good if they ask you to stay back but that was on very rare occasions, especially During Autumn and Winter season you won't be making much. The management is very poor when it comes to positioning workers around the warehouse and it is unfair to others. This place has it's ups and downs (mostly downs in my experience), I mean the money was good and all, but the stress you slowly build just from working in this warehouse may not be worth it if you wish to work here long.

Productive, fun and challenging
A typical day at Toll would be - * Handling customer queries *Booking in freight for companies to be collected and distributed nationally *Investigating when freight would get lost and getting it back on track * Organising and searching for unidentified freight * Searching our depot for missing freight * Handling some of our major accounts I absolutely loved working for Toll. The culture there was so family orientated and everyone would just get along. I learned a lot about different companies in Australia and things about transport and logistics that i never knew before. Management were awesome and were always there if any assistance was needed. The hardest part of the job would have been trying to get the customer back on side from being frustrated about their lost freight. With the ongoing training I sis learn how to overcome these. One of the most enjoyable parts of the job was being able to get lost freight located and sent on its way to wherever it needed to go. It was really satisfying and always felt like something was accomplished. Also the people whom i worked with made it a pleasure. I definitely was upset when i had to leave the company.
ProsAwesome culture, good money and was very local.

Great workplace with high pay
Working for Toll is a great experience and very much rewarding. My current 3PL Toll worksite has given me a lot of upskilling in different departments which makes my work interesting and greatly engaging, providing me additional skills that I can develop and can use to advance my career. Toll sites are greatly diverse across age and culture which creates a supportive and highly skilled workplace. Overall the pay seems to be higher at Toll than similar jobs and the flexibility that they offer is starkly different from other employers. Shifts at Toll are given through the app 'Ento', 24-hours ahead of shift. In my experience, one problem is that there are no site days off. If the site doesn't need you for the following day, you're placed on 'standby', which means that you must be ready to attend site at a moments notice for the entire day and where a lot of the problems with management stem from unless you have unavailability already scheduled. This can make planning days difficult. Other than this, Toll is a great place to work at.
ProsGreat pay, excellent opportunities, colleagues and shift flexibility
ConsFinish times are random, on-call is a challenge and management can be difficult

Industry leading pay and benefits, great equipment, helpful team
I work for Toll Mining and a typical day will involve several mine deliveries of diesel to tank sites. Hours vary between 9-12 a day with flexibility in the roster if needed on my end. The learning curve is steep but flattens out quickly on the job, luckily operations as well as mining staff have been helpful with any questions I've had. Management is pretty decent but extremely overworked and some things can fall through the cracks. however polite follow up emails are all that's usually required. Culture is very relaxed with a flexible hours and roster as long as the work is done. Being mining its extremely safety focused so lots of paperwork and delays but hey, you get paid by the hour :) Hardest part of the job is the work life balance, it can feel like you've never left work even when you're home. Most enjoyable part of the job is the chunky, chunky pay check every fortnight :) Also the advancement opportunities are wonderful. If you're a safe, motivated driver with a good attitude, the sky is limit career wise.
ProsAmazing benefits, Safe equipment and operations team that genuinely cares
ConsLots of paperwork, be prepared to sign your name, A LOT

A lovely work culture and close to home
Toll Ipec is a good place to work and is nice and close to home. My typical day at work started with checking emails, collecting payroll reports and updating and correcting times and leave I learned to effectively manage my time and get more done. My only challenge at Toll Ipec was trying to work with Management as there seemed to be friction between Management and Corporate head office and this frequently put me in the middle, not knowing which "side" to take. I ultimately chose to use the path of my own knowledge and integrity and followed through on that. I got along well with all my co-workers and always did my best to achieve the best possible result for both employees and Toll Ipec. the hardest part of the job was sometimes not having a choice in having to take certain actions whilst knowing that this was not in the best interest of the Company nor Employee or Agent. The most enjoyable part of working at Toll Ipec was having the opportunity to work with fellow employees and having a real sense of "Family" when it came down to it.

Great job, job satisfaction, family freindly hours, close to home
Typical day at work involved delegating tasks for the truck and forklift drivers for the day and contacting client for days orders. imputing data into company computer system for customer invoicing and subcontractor payment, dealing with any OH&S issues, input all OH&S, storage and handling figures. Organising all maintenance and servicing for fleet of trucks, trailers, forklifts and manage storage facility. maintain and monitor dangerous goods register, vehicle registrations and permits. Manage all customer issues and complaints. Good bunch of co-workers, always a pleasure to work with. Hardest part of the job was trying find trucks for the amount of load requested to move, a lot reorganising and swapping around, very trying at times. To be able to go home at the end of the day and everything was done when I thought I wouldn't get through it. Also I enjoyed the client interaction, very interesting part of the job.
ProsGood hours, company car, phone, close to home, great network of people
ConsLow income for the amount of effort put in, no further advancement available at the time.

poor
too much politics the bosses keep going higher amongst themselves and the staff are kept on par. there is alot of expenses on the management for food gatherings appraisal but staff gets one button n cert only monthly to achieve kpi tat too after working like mad.they prefer to keep talent average bcz if they allow them to rise then there wont be anyone to be chased around.growth very poor bcz they are many worth ppl here but they keep hire from outside and if they announce internal jobs there wont be ay interviews they select not sure how and anounce to you.been playing around with increment and bonus fr 2 yrs now but the higher post gets to go gatherings with bosses.while we just work 7 to 4pm and then just go back. sorry to say theyhave a attitude of you are replaceable so you cant be sure of your job here as they are not worried of why peope are leaving in bulks but if 5 leave they hire 3.for 5 yrs they never saw my talent but when i was leaving everyone asked me not to leave as im a good staff and they offered me many posts. which will not be fulfiled once i retract my resignation. good part is you can work here max 4 yrs for apply house loan buy car all but dont settle down here. great place for graduates just passing their time.

Wellness Consultant | Kempton Park, Gauteng | 20 Apr 2015
Challenging and diverse
My day in the Wellness side of the company starts early. The fitness facility is opened and prepared for any members who wish to train before work. Mostly throughout the morning, the facility is cleaned and admin is done. Most staff start training in the gym from lunch time as opposed to going out or sitting around doing nothing. The company has taken a positive stance towards wellness and encourages staff to take time through the day to spend a half hour or so doing some exercise. If they aren't busy at 10 am (example), then they are more than welcome to train then, and also then to assist their colleagues later on so they may also have some time out. People intermittently pop in to the gym and ask advice on diets, health issues, and life in general. The atmosphere is friendly, caring and considerate; this is why I believe that the staff are dedicated. The company is aware of high stress levels and demands in life that allow the working individuals very little time for themselves - this is where the implementing of a wellness programme has made a huge difference to the input from staff members. Everyone can give a little bit more when they feel their efforts are not in vain.
ProsFlexibility during quiet hours
Conslimited income

Supervisor | Kempton Park, Gauteng | 20 Oct 2014
work environment was enjoyable, yet management was slow to recognize a persons achievements
on a typical day at work I would get to work early and start by helping my supervisor to get started with the day and then I would check and authorize my returns and do relevant paperwork and update management system online. I would then check to see if there was any collections to organize and then do that.I would then help my supervisor for the rest of the day until home time, or until we were done with the work for the day, I never said no if we had to work overtime.I learned to take initiative and do what was needed to get the job done, and to learn as much as what I could for myself by watching my co-workers and supervisors and to see how they done things .Management was ok, my co-workers were fun and helpful. the hardest part of my job was trying to get management to get to a point where they would recognize my achievements and advance me in my work place( they would always admit to my achievements verbally but never on paper- so as to advance me.).The best and most enjoyable part of my day was always when i was on my own doing my work and working with my colleagues.
ProsThe work experience and knowledge that I built up for myself
ConsManagements slow to react attitude
