Offshore Drilling Logistic Coordinator.

Responsible to co-ordinate all Offshore and Onshore Logistic Team to operate as the primary focal point for all movements of materials, equipment and personnel to/from the Offshore facility in a timely manner in accordance with operational demands and schedules.  
The Offshore DLC role on the Chikyu Drill Ship required extensive coordination between the Japanese Ship Owner CDEX and the Seadrill Norwegian Drilling Company all aspects of receiving, storing and Back-loading Materials , Equipment and associated personnel with the challenge of limited Helicopter availability and extended Vessel runs to and from Broome Port.
The Onshore Logistic Coordinator to organise all equipment and personnel to start Up the Jack Bates MODU Drilling Campaign. 
The Offshore DLC role on the Jack Bates requires coordination to organise the loadout, storing and back-loading of all Materials and Equipment for an extensive Completions Program on existing Woodside Wells as well as some exploration.

No two days the same, there was always a new challenge and something to assist with. There were always 8 or more adviser's on site from Woodside and the Contracting Companies and we all worked well together. When I started at the Plant it was to assist with Shutdowns but this soon included Projects on site and then eventually day to day Operations on site. Had it not been for redundancy, I would still be there.

The team in which I work are all hard working individuals but all of which have the same motivation and positive attitude towards any task assigned to them, I have really enjoyed being part of this team and have fitted in extremely well over the last 4 months.

My day consists of updating and keeping on top of all designated tasks assigned to me such as the inputting and updating of datasheets/drawings/procedures into our document control systems. I also have a number of spreadsheets which I need to keep up to date and track on a weekly basis.

I do not have a management role in this current position and I do not find any aspect of the job too difficult.

I used to love my work and be proud of in Engineering department.
I have learnt and also contributed quite largely for the benefit of the company.
Managed my co-workers and management cohesively and professionally.
The hardest part of the work to fix certain issues which are directly production related and need to resolve in a timely manner.
I enjoyed all through my career with Woodside.

Typically job would begin with morning meeting or toolbox safety talk, feedback. Management would state any noteworthy requirements for the day, and delegate last minute tasks. Co workers work together well as a team, always willing to help others. Difficult part to the job is diagnosing sudden breakdown on equipment you may not be familiar with. Most enjoyable part of the job is the atmosphere most of the time and completing a task/job to satisfaction of production technicians.

Highly recommended. However, a fairer approach to performance based pay system needs reviewing, in my opinion. The culture and productivity seemed more at a peak from 2005-2010, as opposed to 2010-2015 where there seemed to be a culture shift which I’m sure has been reverted back to a more healthy culture!

Licence/DataBase and software application support on linux and windows platforms.
Learned how to support IT needs in a large corporate company. 
Management - Always approachable and a feeling of support.
Culture - Self motivated with a feeling of support when needed.Values and continuous improvement was an important part of achieving goals.
Hardest Part - High expectations.
Enjoyable Part - Great people to work with.

Typical day includes reservoir simulation, history matching and production forecasting for a variety of oil and gas fields.

Learned a tremendous amount through the graduate program that gave me the skills to eventually progress through to Senior Reservoir Engineer

Woodside was a fantastic place for entry into the Oil and Gas industry. Was developed and managed effectively over may 18 years. 
I enjoyed the opportunity to work offshore and personal satisfaction of completing 4 shutdown on 3 facilities in 1 year.
Woodside cared about there people with a great support system.  I was grateful and proud to work there.

Well placed with in its market position and does like to what is says.
