I would arrive at work at 9am and finish around 5pm. I would assist customers in their needs including: retrieving shoes they were wanting to try, sizing customers and providing customers with advice and knowledge of different shoes.
I learned about stock management, money handling/banking, how to multi-task especially during the back-to-school period for school shopping, how to communicate effectively with customers and how to teach new employees.
I loved my store manger and assistant store manager, they were a great time and gave fantastic advice and encouragement. They have been the best bosses I have ever had.
The hardest part was dealing with particular customers during very busy times in the store.
The most enjoyable part was the management and other co-workers. This was a fantastic job.

Williams throughout the year is an easy going job and would recommend to anyone looking for a casual or full time position. Williams is known for the biggest school shoe sellers in Australia and during the months of December through to February is the busiest times for us, and it also the most rewarding during that time. 

At Williams they aim to have the customers needs met whether it is school shoe fittings, work shoes, or just causal shoes for everyday wear. At Williams all your needs are met.

Being Assistant Manager, I opened our store 3 days a week,
I was on good salary. I did 27 hours a week, with 4 hours on Sundays to make up for the difference.
I worked well with my Manager.
I worked well with the Fusion Group.
My position was enjoyable work, and I loved getting to work every day and looked forward to the busy day ahead.
I had my manager, and 3 co workers who all worked well together, never a hassle, never any problems, we were all like a family.

Very disappointed when store closed.

Working for Williams was a fantastic kick starter to jump into the work force. With periods of time where work was more fast paced and full on with the right team behind you everything is a breeze. My only concerns lie with management, at times it was difficult to adjust to a different variety of managers as each manager has their own way of running their stores. all over though it was certainly an enjoyable experience.

as this was my first job i found i learnt alot about customer service, about point of sale and stocktake
i have managers who were very helpful with my new position and hepled me when i needed it
i am still friends with management to this day
the hardest part of this job was being on my feet for most of the day

Overall a great place to work. Enjoyed that everyone was so team based and willing to help out, felt like a family. Always something to do and really taught me more about retail and customer service.

Good Management, Everything was perfect

They’re all so lazy and making other staffs work while they doing their personal things stealing company time. I just hate how they would blame you for everything, and those “small talks” are just brainwashing 

Absolutely horrendous. Constantly understaffed, awful management who broke the law. Frequently had to take issues to HR or my union. Dangerous. Tried to underpay me. I’ve worked for many retail stores and this one is the WORST. stay away. 

I enjoyed working at Williams and only left due to insufficient hours. 
 
Being in an area close to where I live it was great to be able to help people I know choose their shoes.
