Really enjoyed my time working for the Ipswich branch - well managed with 4 great people in the office who are always there to help and support and are just a phone call away from 6am until 10pm 7 days a week. Great training with a fun but not funny trainer, followed by great shadowing with really good careworkers. You are given a full hour with your service user and dont have to rush off to the next client because you are given traveling time (well about 80% of the time) You always get extra hours if you need them and if you need a day off or half a day off the coordinator is always have to sort it (if she has notice) Great careworkers who are very passionate about their work and the people they care for. I really felt like I was able to make a difference, only left because my boyfriend got a job in France.

If you're okay with early starts and long days you'll be fine here. good exercise if you bike! Not worth joining if you want to walk. the management would tend to forget about pre-booked holiday, and can almost pester you into working more. you may need some backbone and the ability to stand your ground and say no sometimes. most clients are nice, but as you're working with the public you can be dealing with some folks who aren't as friendly, not for the sensitive (like myself) and prepare for nudity and unwell people. this line of work does feel immoral (taking money from people who can't help but need care) but is a secure job, just remember to stand your ground.

Staff get employee of the month awards and you get to work good hours that are suitable to work-life balance. They now have a really good management team in the office who are always there to help and support. Never had an issue with pay and we get paid monthly. Great work colleagues, great management, wonderful clients, good pay and wonderful job satisfaction = perfect job. I would suggest anyone that wants to work in care that you work for WHC.

I was treated badly, after a back injury I was forced to work for a week until I could no longer bare the pain. I went in with a sick note and the management still wouldn't accept that I couldn't work due to the injury. The management were not very professional they also were childish and didn't give me the support I needed. 
The hours are rubbish and a typical day would be the office would constantly call you to give you more people to squeeze in between your rota.
The most enjoyable part of the job was helping the Service users with their needs.

Westminster Homecare Ipswich has been a great place to work. After changes of office staff I have found staff to be really supportive and understanding about changes to personal life. I really enjoy meeting new service users and always recieve information before going somewhere new. I would definitely recommend Westminster homecare for someone interested in getting into care as plenty of training and support before and after you start! 

I have been with Westminster just over 2 years and in that time I got promoted to a senior care practitioner which is absolutely amazing job, the support I get from my managers are incredible and I really couldn't thank them enough for how well they have supported me with any issues that arises, even if it's personal! Couldn't be more prouder to work for such a fantastic company. Would recommend to any one.

A great place to work - job security and a great management team who really do look after you. Wonderful service users and unlike most care companys you get to spend time with those you care for because you and not running all over the place - you have traveling time.

Learned to meet the client's everyday needs, enjoyed working wth different colleagues, the management and the recruitment are also amazing, the hardest part could be when they send you to a different area that it, most enjoyable the appreciation of the clients.

Productive and fun place to work. The management team are always on hand to listen and help anytime. Training are done regularly to keep you refreshed and updated. You have family and work life balance. You work when you want and they are very flexible.
