Housekeeping in this job is tiring and stressful, your expected to do 22 rooms in one shift. Everyone calls in sick so always short staffed. One time I worked housekeeping from 9am to 8.30pm as so short staffed, managers do not care about your wellbeing aslong as the rooms are getting cleaned. Toxic managers who speak about you behind your back. Always getting into trouble regardless of have 20 plus rooms if a room is not done in 10 mins. Rooms always left disgusting end up taking 45minutes managers do not care and will let the customer return even though room gets trashed. Appealing company to work for

I originally applied to work as the supervisor within the hotel but was refused the position due to me not speaking Polish. Which in this day in age is discrimination and i have emailed and called head office but no one was interested. Time keeping was non existent. Managers and staff turning up for work when they feel like it.
Having to work 6 out of 7 days most weeks due to not enough staff.
Not treated the way i would expect to be. Ive been in management for 15 plus years and if it was me the housekeeping staff at my old hotel wouldnt be dictatinv what they do. They would do what is expected.

Great experience and team to work with, very welcoming and friendly.  I only work 16 hours a week - night shift and am on my own. Expected to do more than you should or tasks that could be done on other shifts or should be with 2 people because physical task loads are too much or heavy.  

The Pay you receive is not good at all unfortunately.  
Can't get anymore hours than what you do even when you ask or want different shifts. 
When applying think carefully about the hours you wan to do long term.

a typical day at work begins at 10am where you get 20 minutes to clean the bathroom, the bedroom, make a bed sometimes 3 depending on room size, mop the bathroom floor and hoover the bedroom. I learned how to clean and make beds quickly. the management is alright - always wants you to be quicker and will moan if slow due to the heat. the workplace culture is overall very friendly. the hardest part of the job is staying in your time. the most enjoyable part of the job is chatting to coworkers.

Overworked at times .Staff get most of the stress due to the fact Managers only work during the day when it’s quieter.
Managers would rather work staff into the ground then take a shift in the evening to help.
Hardest part of the job is getting managment to listen and support .
Online training is good but nothing after that 

When I went to the interview I was promised a fun job working with a varied team. 
However once starting the job I realised that was not at all what it was. You are expected to be the only staff member for 8 hours during night ours. Not only does this give you large work amounts it also made me feel extremely unsafe and vulnerable. 

awful place and people to work for. They do not care about staff or any guests or customers. I cannot believe i wasted so much time there i worked 6/7 days a week and not one pay rise. I hit number 1 in the whole area and nothing. awful awful awful if you want to be mistreated and paid incorrectly go and work for them

The Travelodge is very very good Hotel and if you think about job so must visit in Travelodge the hotel  is enjoyable part of the job and if you think stay over there must you visit and 

Continuity accross the whole team, experience a busy environment and have great customer service and care. 
The roles are different on every type of shift given, but always deliver my best.
Just wish the hours were better
