A great place to work,fair pay a safety focused 24/7 we work 4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts and if you work that out over 12 months and include annual leave and roster days you are only at work 4.5 months of the year and that is great.Management lack in people skills and those that suck up seem to get on.The onsite amenties and very good but Tomago Aluminium does not have a sugestion scheme I was told this was because one of the engineers would think of your sugestion themselves one day The hardest part of the job is the heat ,some parts of the job the temperature is in excess of 60 degrees C.Overall I would give it 7.5 out of 10.

I have most enjoyed seeing the people at Tomago and its community grow in my time of association.

i have worked in cast products for 18yrs. Some day on forklifts delivering product to storeage pads.Other days on cranes moving billet andslab product.i enjoy working by myself even though i am in a good team. i also enjoy shift work which i have done my whole working career.

Pleasant overall experience.Shift work and 12hr shifts have pros and cons.Management and self improvement courses beneficial.Various other certifications such as Crane Driver,Crane chaser,forklift driver and many others plus First Aid and emergency procedures and liasing with overseas partners.



VERY BUSY AT WORK ALL DAY, LEARNT TO WORK AS A TEAM PLAYER, MANAGEMENT WAS VERY GOOD, ALL WORK MATE WORKED WELL TOGETHER NEVER ANY DRAMAS, WORKING IN 100% WOOLEN CLOTHING , I LIKED WORKING THERE FOR THE PAST 29 YEARS GOT TO SEE MY MATES EVERY DAY

the crews were great people to work and socialise with and easy to approach this included high end management. This made for an enjoyable experience day to day.

The people that work here is what makes it a great place to work. Any work day would have us co-operating with a number of other departments, so to liaise with different people is a great way to help production efficiency.

A repetitive job, with a very strict safety culture. Good money, 4 on 4 off roster, 12hr shifts 6 till 6, Safety and completing tasks following the Standard operating procedures is key at Tomago.

i currently work in the central workshop doing rebuilds of all plant equipment welding and machining some great learning experiences good company structure.
