Tim Hortons

I got hired on for Front-End Cashier. Told one of my managers I wanted to work the overnight shift, but she told me I had to go through daytime training first. In the end, I barely worked any shifts in the course of almost two weeks and was told my training wasn't going fast enough when I was just barely getting introduced to the cleaning and sandwich making sides of the job by the 5th shift. Was also given other ridiculous reasons like I wasn't smiling (a blatant lie). I felt like I was barely shown anything in my training to really know what I was doing at this point. It just seemed sloppy and half-assed overall. Poor management, poor scheduling, and also stupid rules like you get a discount on an Iced Capp (not even free, considering it was basically minimum wage) but only if you stay in the store and drink it; you can't go outside with it. The whole experience felt like I went back to school. I barely had any freedom; you don't take charge at what you do, you get told what to do and what position to work, constantly getting switched around.

One word to the wise: be wary that one of my managers was particularly strict about shaving. I shaved clean but was told I still needed to shave. It has to TRULY be clean, at least at my location.

Being with my friends and wife

Upper management ruling your entire life, expecting you to work all the hours in the world and burn yourself out

Disgusting from upper management but staff i worked with made my day

Good with the staff but when upper management got involved it was horrible

You get money.Apart from that nothing.

Aunty's ruling over you. Always taking advantage of new employees.

biased, always find ppl with certain same origin having groupism.

Busy, new employees have to do heavy work

I was hired as a shift manager and paid as a team member without knowing. It was constantly busy and stressful, the staff were never delegated tasks very well and management was just a shambles. Place was run so poorly, no consideration for how the staff felt. There was nowhere to take your break, nowhere for the staff to sit on their break at all. Very disappointing workplace.

I worked their in the Larbert Branch. I really loved the job. And Most of the staff we great to work with.

But the management was dreadfully.  
3 managers in one small takeaway. 
There was Lack of leadership. 
Leaving products to thow outside. Machines kept breaking down. 
Bins constantly full. 

Aslso had environmental health issues 
Not enough space to work in. And theirs bullying from management

A typical day at work was not too bad or not too good. I was the one of four only workers they have had and they were not hiring, meaning they worked us allot which was kinda okay. Management was cool they sometimes could handle flexible hours due to the amount of workers. Hardest part off the job is doing so many task at once.

Horrible people and toxic work culture. They cut your pay even if you’re 1 minute late but you don’t get paid extra for the extra hours you put in. No positive work culture and an extremely biased company.


The most enjoyable part of working at Tim Horton's was the speed of work and the workload. The restaurant handles large surges of customers all day, which means constant stocking and cleaning when the store is less busy.

what i like most about working at Tim Horton was serving the costumers seeing that i can help make the day with a smile and a cup of coffee or just even having a slight conversation with them hoping they enjoy their day

it was poor, treated the workers terrible, a 10 cent raise after one year. long hours and did not treat all workers fairly. made me clean up blood from the bathroom door.
