Bad company to work for, I was there for a year and never got the opportunity to further my knowledge within the workplace. I asked to be able to take over a role of a guy who left, and was refused even though i was skilled enough for the role. They ended up hiring someone else with no experience and after 2 weeks put him in the role i was eager for. When i approached them about it they didnt really care

I had other employees i worked with in my section stand behind me while working and make derogatory comments behind my back. I had people tell me some other employees would talk about what i wore to work (long pants, long sleeve shirt).

Lots of gossip in the workplace, its basically like a big highschool and HR is no existent and wont even listen to you when you want to bring a problem to their attention.

In the interveiw i got asked many questions like "do you think youll be able to do this job because youre a girl" "weve never hired a girl in metal prep before we dont think you can handle it". When i got called back to say i got the job they said "we spent all night up thinking about whether a girl can do this job".

Just bad.

I would reccomend people stay clear of this workplace. It has to be one of the most toxic environments I have ever experienced. Management are so under qualified and their professionalism and conduct is something to be laughed at. The managers regularly talk about staff behind their back and regularly go on power trips. The pay is horrible for the speed and skill they want you to work at, and they try to incentivise you with a ‘contract’ system in which they just shave hours off your pay at their own discretion. I cant even begin to reiterate how poor this company is run, and how poor management.

Was there for 7 months as a casual. No training. Minimal tools provided. Asked to be moved to another department but got fired instead.  They built a plate boat while I was there and once the boat was complete realised the boat was painted the wrong colour and had to be dismantled, resprayed and built again. In the 7 months I was there, they approximately went through 200 workers. Bad company. Poor management. Build times for boats are unrealistic. Under pressure to be 100+% productivity and 70% of the boats have issues. Floor don't fit, welding mistakes and so on.

After working for Telwater for over a year, I have been exposed to many different people in the factory and found that the core team is very loyal to each other. There are many folks that have worked at Telwater for many years who have a lot of passion. 

One challenge I found within the company is it can be stuck in its ways. Not to say that what the company is doing things inherently wrong, but I would like to see it more open to change in this day and age.

Telwater has done nothing but exceeded my expectations. I am a fresh 21 year old seeking to earn while I learn and my manager and supervisor warren and sarge have done nothing but assist and ensure I am working and learning effectively. I would recommend Telwater as my experience so far has been extremely positive. I am keen to start a career in this company and to see how far this can go. 

They underpay their hard workers and only look after the suck ups/brown noses.I was let go after confronting them about my lack of pay. i worked out they were only paying me TA wages when i'm qualified, I only asked for a raise to the appropriate wage and no back pay but they refused and hired someone cheaper

All people beware this place is very toxic they talk about metal health when this place recreates it, even the hr person is in the boys club so nothing will get done if having a problem, brp needs a whole new management team for this place to improve, only have to look at the amount of people that have resigned in the last 12 months to know there is a issue I know because I was one of them

It's a fast paced workplace where it doesn't matter what you do or how you do it as long as you do it fast and that everything is hidden. 
The blokes there are a good bunch of people how are willing to help

I enjoyed working at telwater - we got a pay rise and enjoyed the team. its great to see so many long term employees in the business. I had to relocate so had to resign but id still be there otherwise

Management is a joke, turnover of staff is laughable, toxic boys club culture. Management only care about targets and not about staff, working guys are great, everyone else are flogs
