I have got 8 weeks of clinical practice in the Sydney private hospital ( surgical ward and eye centre) which has,given me an exposure to Australian health care system during the Initial registration for overseas nurses(IRON)programme.. I have learned about the Australian health care system and have learned on prioritizing care, time management and the importance of working as a member of a multidisciplinary team.The hospital has got excellent staff and they all were really informative, supportive, helpful and friendly.I have improved my communicational and interpersonal skill during my practise and I have got training on sterile techniques and familiarising with new procedure and equipments.

The surgical ward was comparatively busy, but the skilful and dedicative staff always made that into a comfortable working environment.I am so glad that I could be a part of that wonderful team at least for a short time and contribute my part towards the team.

What is the best part of working at the company?
It feels like a family atmosphere.
I’ve been there 22years, upgrading all the time.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Nothing. The traffic getting to and from .

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very good , inviting .
They tend to all needs of staff 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very busy , working with amazing surgeons and staff in the operating theatre

Busy days, learnt about budget, how to run a business efficiently. Excellent management  team, good collaboration and positive outcomes. Everyone worked together to build a good work culture. Often had team building bbq lunches. Managing 6 departments back to back was hard. Best part of the job was working with great administration team with customer focus & good outcomes.

-Interacting with patients beyond my comfort level. Was really hard but then you understand to handle that because the patients need our help.

Great rehabilitation team to work with, working together as a team helping one another, Num is excellent, Best part of the job is watching the patients rehabilitation after major surgery achieve their goals. Have learned wound care, pressure area care, ECG, and ongoing educational programs.

Learning with supportive and efficient management and staff is an excellent experience. Patient centered care and; health and safety are highlighted at all aspect of; care. The staff and other co workers are very helpful and provided an effective learning experience.

Management are well equipped. Nice work place with respectful staff who are there to help you anytime you need it. Very lovely place you will dream of working. Flexible shifts. 

Don,t work or go there as a patient. Run by Indians and money hungry owners. Staff are inexperienced and PR is given away easily to Indian or Asian people. Bad place, poor working conditions, old equipment used

I enjoyed everyone I worked with and developed many lovely relationships while working there.  Unfortunately the job did not have the job security, I needed and therefore needed to move forward with the job search.

The work place really good. Good staff cooperation, helpful and teamwork. Patient get  fantastic and satisfaction feedback. Quick response    for the service and helpful for the service.
