SUPA IGA RUSSELL ISLAND offers a great servce being the local supermmarket on and island . Staff do go out of their way to help customers in locating products and suppling products. I was able to learn some new skills in grocery ,bakery and meat especially in displays and relays.  Management was easy to talk to just not always accessible , it is a store that staff take pride in , hardest part is when they cut hours to suit budget as being a small community no two weeks are the same .

.Maintained the cash counter in running condition, accepted payments and made entries accordingly
Balanced the day's transactions at daily cash closing
Processed and verified payments involving transfer of electronic funds
Demonstrated a friendly and professional attitude towards customers with payment related inquiries
Implemented the company's guidelines regarding cash payments policy
Assisted in stocking of and rearrangement of display items in the store when needed

Its a dead end theres no knowledge to improve your work skills. They only use their worker to better them and don't praise empolyyee for put there hard work into the job. Get no staff discount O.H&S is terrible they should be shut down for the unsafe thing around the shop and storeroom I will never go back to work for the company they are useless brunch and don't take care of there staff at all even if you been working for them over 10 years

Too many lazy workers in there and different groups hate each other. Dramas after dramas, feel like you have to take side. Morning workers never finish their work and leave so the next person have to finished it. Toxic workplace management don't seem to care.

Don’t work here grumpy old men and everything a mess .. and we have to take customer abuse while we sell things last there best before date .. very out dated store plus u need to dry clean shirts before returning them overwise they dock ur pay it’s bad as there handed out gross and need to be cleaned before worn ..

Fun hard stressful with mangers

Helping customers with the process of their shopping
Learning to deal with customers in a polite manner 
Management were very helpful with their product knowledge that they passed on.
Workplace culture was excellent with staff all friendly
Getting to know the aisles that some items were located
Making sure customers were happy when they left the shop.

I am very satisfied with my work at a Supa IGA store. The workplace culture is friendly, and everyone gets along. The work isn't too stressful, only in busy hours of course. 

Working in the Deli each day is different depending on customers and stock. I have learned a lot about all deli items (cold meat, olives, cheese, chicken and salads) and bakery (bread and cakes) also i have learnt ordering and display. The hardest part of the job is remembering all product information. The most enjoyable part is coworker relationships.

It was a great work place with lots of great customers and team members, my manager was great and made sure I met my requirements as an assistant.
I would usually work from 9am-3pm and was on-call whenever they needed. 
The most enjoyable part of my day at work was serving customers and them being satisfied with our service!
