Sunnseeker Holidays was a great company to work for with a nice work life balance and a friendly and fast passed working day of on going calling of numbers and speeches to draw customers into an actual great deal for customers with coffee breaks to keep you going.

 Management was supportive and so were staff but lacked in training and the Target number of people to sell to was very difficult being such a big number as well as the speech being was used that made the great deal sound like a scam and the second speech that was to push a customer after they had already said no was not for me, as the point of selling to someone with a convincing knowledge is to believe in the product yourself. This was not achievable to me for listening to myself and my colleges around me the speeches made it feel pushy.

 The most enjoyable part of the job was feeling part of a close and supportive team who where not afraid to help you try and succeed as well as getting you to laugh after a phone call in which  a negative reaction had occurred.

This is the worst company I have ever worked for. The company is held to ransom by a compulsive gambler who does anything and everything she can to get sales so she makes more money to feed to the pokies. She tells management what to do and when to jump and they say how high because she gets the sales. She belittles and bullies people into buying memberships and preys on older people charging them double. If you don't get sales she will make fun of you and embarrass you in front of other staff. The telemarketing side is selling holiday packages to people who have no hope of ever getting a booking on the dates they want to stay as Sunseeker has oversold their allocation of rooms from the resort by about 3000%. There is zero job stability, they run outdated software, you can ring the same business or private number 30 times during a promotion and other people also may get the same number. Management thinks this is funny. Rules change on a daily basis depending on what the 'gambler' wants. Management do not care who gets ripped off or what story is told as long as you get a sale!

I worked as a travel consultant and not one of the cold callers and it was horrible. If you desperately need a job, go here as they will hire anyone. To start, I was never given anything in writing for what my role entailed. The manager was in the office 3 days some weeks and not at all sometimes, it really depended on if she was on another holiday or not. The culture in this workplace is very catty and there was a lot of backstabbing, a lot of nasty talk about past and present employees. I never received any training even though I didn't know the systems they used and every time I asked for training I was told the manager was too busy. If the team likes you, I am sure you will do well in the role, but chances are they won't like you.

This job exceeded my expectations. I was hesitant at first based on feedback I read on line. but when I got there I realised that all the bad feedback was from the past and the whole culture has changed. 
There is new management and it was fun from the first moment. I got lots of training, and was on the phone on day 1. 
you put pressure on yourself, but the environment was one of positivity and fun. the manager was really supporting and seemed to want the best for me. 
despite trying my best it just wasn't for me. it takes a certain person....and you don't know if that is you until you give it a go.
I actually learnt about about talking to people and sales so that was good. and I left on my accords and was wished the best.
I would recommend this job to driven sales people.

After two hours of "training" on the first day, we were put onto the phones and was told that we would have all week to get used to the job. I was let go after three days for failing to get sales, but the manager did it so casually and nonchalantly that it took me a minute to realise that I had lost my job. It also didn't help that he did not look up from his laptop when he did let me go, so I knew that I was just another unnoticed employee that he would be able to replace in a matter of days.

I worked at sunseeker in 2011. Manager was so unprofessional and pushy. Actually sent us home on few occasions when we didn't get enough sales. Everyone was pushed too hard.  Unrealistic sales targets.  People quit all the time. Every employee was disposable. Manager was so rude and inappropriate. We were always threatened with losing our jobs that so many people came and went. One day i just didn't show up,  never looked back when i left and it was the best thing i ever done.  Really bad place to work.  My worst job and manager in my whole life.

Whilst I understand this is a sales job I have never been in such a horrible work place. If your looking for security don't even bother. Whilst this has a base wage for them it is all about the sales. If your not achieving enough your out the door. Their longest standing reps have only been there 5 weeks. Seriously. If I wanted something that focused on such a high sales rate I would've applied for a commission job. Sales is a numbers game, not everyone will eat up what you have to sell them EVEN if you stuck to the script and objections

LOTS OF FUN. I have been here for a few weeks now and I enjoy going in each day. 
the manager tries hard to make it fun and is always happy to help when I have a question.

the feedback on line was from a long time ago and it seems to be from the past as there is noting horrible about the job.... except your own disappointment when you don't get sales. 
when I got my first sale I was so excited I could believe how motivating it is.

The things that I learned at Sunseeker Holidays on a typical day was task management, team skills, organisation of work, communication with general management.

Starting the day would be very enthusiastic and exciting as the atmosphere would be very positive and motivating. Then everyone would be in the great confident buzz to get started and on the phones as soon as possible to sell holiday packages. Atmosphere pumped, energized, and positive as well as alot of encouraging assistance needed to get the job done successfully and happily.
