As an employee at Suncorp (Spotless Group), you a not limited to just one role. Particularly working in the bar section, you have the opportunity to serve drinks or work on registers. You usually work in a very fast paced environment, in which each shift you are working with new people. It teaches you to become adaptable to new working environments as well as allows you to get out of your comfort zone, whereby you have to work with people you have never conversed with before. The hardest part about the job is I was dealing with a lot of drunken customers, which can be very intense, however overall the experience was rewarding. As it allowed me to work with and meet new people.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They paid every 2nd Wednesday 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Managment are all cleaners or ex defence members with no people skills and very little intelligence. They are used to dealing with cleaners and laundry workers but have no clue about the trade world

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Workers great.   Basic culture toxic with hr that will end up in jail due to the new laws about IR / HR environment 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Avoid management.  Expect little help from anyone above leading hand

Working in a mid tier advisory role seemed like good role. It wasn't. The constant take overs and restructures meant noone felt safe in their roles, and a culture of blame existed. Staff would deliberately undercut colleagues to make them appear better/safer from the latest restructure. Their ATSI commitment was laughable with little to no follow through - all show no substance. The mental health of their staff was not supported and if cases were raised, those people were next to be cut. I would not recommend working for this company in a head office role under any circumstances.

It was very obvious that they are not interested in taking care of their employees or prospective employees. Was told that we needed to allow a total of 1 hour for the information session and interview. Ended up taking well over two hours with much of that time spent just waiting. 
Hiring people as casual but doing 38 hours per week with little to no flexibility. It is obvious they don't want to pay sick leave etc. 
Extremely disrespectful of prospective employees. 
So many red flags with this company.
My advice is run away. Don't apply for this company. They will treat you poorly and expect the world of you.


Management is friendly and approachable. As with other companies it is dog eat dog. watch your back and make sure you meet those KPI's. 
15-16 hr days as the client decides staffing numbers. which leaves you short most of the time. BHP will pit one catering company against another telling lies of how one site can do this but this one can't. As someone who has seen a lot BHP sites all are struggling.

Working for spotless has been a great experience. Each shift I learn new things and meet new people, the staff and management are great to work with. The hardest part of the job is getting to and from the workplace. ai can't choose a most enjoyable part as all the roles i have at work are different and enjoyable in there own way.

Management are not good to work with, ridiculous expectations, rude to their staff, degrading at times. Western cultures treat their staff better. I'd  suggest working for an Aussie company. New Australians didn't come to Australia for lesser treatment. 

The location of company was excellent and pay was good.

The workload was too much and expectations were too high hence my performance review was not good.

Little on job training and support was provided.

I enjoyed my time working with the Clifford Hallam Division. My work day consisted primarily of answering the switchboard and directing the call to the appropriate person. I also assisted the State Manager with administration work as required and thirdly helped the Customer Service are with overloaded phone orders.
