While the clients give all the information we need to know, the office extremely rarely passes that on to us for each job request or description more than place, day, time, client, and even that information is often wrong. The onsite contact is often not the same person we shake hands with and the meeting address is often marked either wrong and we have to clarify over the phone with the onsite contact, or it is marked as "call on arrival." But in the industry of "events construction," as I call it, there's always something new procedure of work, place, time, work intensity, injuries (if any), but its fun. there's not much work, and when there is, there's either a lot to do, or its just a lot of standing around busy work.

This was a wonderful way to experience Sydney Australia. Each job involved travel to different venues for any range of tasks from stocking and organization, loading and unloading heavy equipment, all the way to calibrating and set-up of light and speaker systems. I gained experience with a wide range of equipment and found the whole experience enjoyable except hanging curtains. Curtains for shows are incredibly heavy and dusty. Evening hours were paid at an increases rate of $29 per hour and time and half on Sunday shifts.

I have Learnt ALOT which I didn't know I could do but there's just too many (Chiefs) that tell you what you can & cannot do and you don't know who to Answer to...  Ive met a lot of new friends through show support however since been bullied by one of the "Staff" Crew who was a Manager at the time I had to leave because he had Threatened me which was a shame I had to leave when I was Enjoying working for show support.. I would go back to show support but I have never been Contacted back...

If you don't mind shifts popping up last minute and at different times and locations, this company is pretty good. Pay isn't fantastic, but it's ok.  For people who like being in and around and involved in big events and festivals and shows etc, there's plenty of those and a lot of variety in terms of the jobs and the clients etc. Most of it's done via their app. I never really had a problem with them throughout the 10 months I worked for them. 

Things have changed a bit at the moment but you will work very hard and at all sorts of crazy hours for not a lot of pay. But it is an awesome industry with great people who get stuck into their work. Show support is a great networking opportunity and learning experience for anyone wanting to get into the industry.

It's best living close to sydney as minimum call times are 3 hours and you may get several of these a day. 

Great company, Excellent staff and ongoing employment. Have learnt alot about the industry and the entertainment culture  and the management is of the highest standards. Expect to learn new things on every call out.

work is decent
the people booking the jobs are in another country, have a complex and will straight up lie to you just to get you booked. very disrespectful booking staff that make what would otherwise be an ok experience not at all worth it overall. just go with another event staff company instead.

It was good to start with but has a terrible culture of people that don't want to work , namely full time people ,  that stand around or go and hide and make newer people do all the work,  also there is allot primary school type behaviour of people bad mouthing others ect 

I'm still enjoying working at this labor hire type of company. 
Casual type of lifestyle job, physically demanding at times, but often outdoors at great venues
