I learnt a lot in my year with Schneider as warehouse operator. 
This being my first role in a warehouse environment, I had a lot to take on board and process as working in in a warehouse was an entirely different work setting to the one in the retail industry where I had been very confident and successful for the past 17 years.

I am a fast learner so i picked up on basic daily procedure and operations within the first couple of days. 
 I expected far more extensive training during the first couple of weeks, however due to my progress i was more than capable managing the workday on my own  within the first week there. 
I learn best when thrown in the deep end so this worked well for me.

The rest of the training unfolded in a natural progression throughout the year.

My two team leaders were extremely approachable and easy to communicate with making it comfortable for me to raise any questions or concerns , request further training in different areas and roles in the warehouse,  and  make suggestion on implementing better strategies for our working environment

A typical day at work would consist  
- Coming in 15min early and preparing my work station for the day. 
- Replenishment , general housekeeping , prioritising  customer orders by area code ready for me to process . Shipment deadlines applied for some of the orders so they had to be sorted as first priority. 
- Team meeting with team leaders before every shift 
- Processing, invoicing and packing orders from picking slip 
- When quiet picking stock using RF scanners or picking slips
- Sorting parcels by area code on pallets ready for shipment 
- Tidy up work station for next shift
- Stock replenishment and put backs using RF scanners 

The workplace culture was great amongst some of the team.For most part everyone is there to help and support each other and work as a team. 

Hardest part of the job was definitely the casual contract. Majority of employees are under a casual contract with very little room for progression in to full time. This had a great impact on most of the warehouse staff when the company was going through a quiet period. This would result in casuals being placed on pause until it picks up again or being terminated. Not very reliable work structure.

The most enjoyable part of working for Schneider would have to be almost all of it. I really had a great time being challenged and learning a new set of skills in a new environment. Loved being a part of a  team on a larger scale of things.
Individually  contributing  great attention to detail and problem solving skills on a day to day basis, playing an integral part of a bigger picture and as a valued member of the team.

At Schneider-Electric Brisbane, you are working in a clean and organized environment, in the office as well as in the factory. Safety is number one at Schneider. The open office layout can be very noisy and it is hard at times to stay concentrated on your job. You can enjoy flexible working hours as long as you worked your 38 hour week. The most annoying thing I found was all the paperwork to be done to get anything approved, like work instruction. Getting anything  approved was very frustrating. Schneider-Electric ETOB could be a great place to work for if management would care more and listen more to their employees. Unfortunately, that is not the case, management attitude is "if you don't like it, there is the door". The moral and motivation of many employees has suffered because of management and their attitude towards them. Don't expect a great salary, it is kept to the minimum. Don't ask for a pay rise, you'll never get one anyway. All in all, Schneider is not a bad place to work for as long as you do everything what management is coming up with. I would not recommend to work at Schneider-Electric ETOB to anyone. Even you work in a clean environment, the salary and wages are just a tiny bit above award. The management doesn't care much about their employees and have the wrong attitude. No wonder there is no future for this business in Australia and parts of the business is already done oversees. This will be in my opinion another business clothing its doors in Australia to manufacture oversees. A company restructure currently going on has costed many jobs, including mine. My advice, don't stay away from Schneider-Electric ETO Brisbane.

•	Created a log book for various dies (approximately 100 dies).  This reduced the time to needed for operators to select correct dies.
•	Implemented 5’S in the press shop
•	Serviced dies reducing sub contractor costs
•	Proficient at setting up all production presses(9 ton up to 200 ton) delivering savings in time and labour
•	Supervised 8 workers and trained various operators and die setters
•	Improved quality of various components and reduced the cycle time improvingproduction.
•	Experienced in operationg all hand tools
•	Able to use all measuring instruments like vernies, micro meter high gauges, dial gauges.
•	Able to read and understand engineering drawings
•	Quick learner and worked in other departments whenever required
•	Improved quality of various jobs.
•	Worked in Meter Box Assembling Area in a team atmosphere
•	Learned quickly to set up and operate  number 9 machines

I am the quality inspection building supervisor for the construction of transportable substations.  Supervising for 8-12 buildings and a number of various disciplines.
My day starts with toolbox meetings and scheduling meetings, walk rounds and inspection of work in progress.  I need to motivate teams to meet client deadlines in a safe and timely manner ensuring team safety is not compromised.  Safety before deadline!  I found the management team supportive and allowed me to work within my scope while allowing me to make and implement new suggestions.  The hardest part of my job is to meet strict deadlines and motivate my team to work within time and financial constraints.  The most enjoyable part of my job is to see the completion of the end product and all we have achieved as a team!

All the management are very seniors, and expect us to work 7 to 7 or 8. If you have young family, this is not the right company. Lack of management skills. Make you to work on everything(even if you don't know about it nor trained on it) and there is no job profile work. My JD was saying a Sales Support Specialist and they are making me to work as a data entry person. Under paid for more stressful work. I got told to work from home 2 days in a week, after i took up the contract they are not allowing me use this option. Micro management, lack of guidelines, I was leaving 3 pm one day because of my son medical checkups, and my manger asked me when i am covering those missing hours, but i work from 9 to 630 everyday and he never asked me why i am doing extra hours of work. I worked with a quite nice MNC's and i never had this kinda experience.

I have enjoyed working with these companies as I am a open and honest kind of person with a proven ability to  build and maintain positive relationships with a broad range of supplier, internal and external customers and management. I contributed actively to team based environments or working independently to meet set targets and tameframes. Strong customer service focus, providing friendly and professional advice and support to ensure client expectations are met. Sound problem solving skills and attention to detail with an ability to prioritise workloads an multiple tasks tomeet strict timeframes. I have learn to use different computer systems within the organisation.
My position has been redundant due to a new restructuring and downsizing in October 2014.

Many of the people in the division I worked were into sporting activities. Work wise, I was in the Citect division, which develops software for SCADA. It is a huge software base and credit goes to the original developers whose work has stood the test of time. I was a support programmer, which consisted of fixing bugs. Sometimes it was frustrating because after two or three weeks of investigation, less than ten lines have to be modified to fix the issue. Some issues are put in the Too-hard basket. Other times it is very exhilarating to look at a crash dump and go to the source code and fix that one oversight in a matter of a day or two. Overall I now appreciate the cost of a bug and the need for clarity over clever code.

After been working for 6 months, They terminated my work without any valid reason. To be very honestly, I worked real hard as a high reach forklift driver in inbound at Ingleburn Schneider electric. I always presented myself at work on time with out taking day off without any valid reason. I always achieved my target (in put aways). Even I showed my interest in company for further training.

Difficult place to work in due the political chalanges and empire building throughout the senior management levels.

Good diversity of employees & integration.
Very capable & dedicated teams of good people.

SE Internal Business Units (BU) are difficult to integrate to provide a totoal solution therefore margins are erroded through xBU inefficiencies.

Always started with a tool box meeting
All the boys had their quota to achieved and they each had their own work bench which they had a daily maintenance check before they started work before they finished.
The Job was mainly repairing pallets and this included painting the finished pallet and painting the logo and loading them onto trucks

I managed the plant and gave the guys opportunities to make decisions and supported them. I gave specific instructions and they
