I worked for Samsung through the Blue Square Marketing agency through several different mobile phone launches. I came onboard for the S7 launch, I worked through the A series 2016, Note 7, A series 2017, and the S8 launches. Overall it's a decent enough place to work, and the one thing they excel at is their provision of training materials. 

I learned a lot from my first area manager in Basingstoke, who showed me first hand the importance of relationship building and networking effectively, and how that will ultimately help towards driving sales. 

The workplace culture was decent for a role in which you hardly ever meet your colleagues from the surrounding areas. It's all dependent on the store in which you're stationed.

The hardest part of the job was having to be available on your days off (or even during your holidays) for last minute training sessions and/or helping out during the VIP visits from Korea which can be rather stressful. The most enjoyable part of the job was just how easy going most of the management team can be whilst still doing a great job in supporting you and helping you to drive sales and excel at your job.

I cover 22 stores electronics stores at present.

A typical day would involve traveling between 2-4 stores per day while merchandising and training RSPs on my brands products.

Building rapport with key RSPs and management is a key strategy in gaining the most market share possible.

Communicating with Business account managers and state manager on a daily basis.

Work place culture is fun and creative. Being able to communicate with so many different and diverse RSPs and people with my brand has been a key ingredient into my career with Samsung Electronics.

Hardest part of the job is not knowing where I will be on a daily/weekly basis as it is always changing depending on the business's needs.

Being successful and hitting KPIs while meeting some great people who have become life long friends along the way and help create a great working atmosphere for myself has been the most enjoyable part of my current job.

Working for Samsung was one of my best jobs I've had to pleasure to experience. Even thought the story was still in it's infancy the level of training and support both product wise and technical support was phenomenal. We worked closely with the sales of every Samsung phone, tablet and camera on the market the features of each phone in depth along with troubleshooting any phone that came in.
      The team environment at the store was great everyone got along and didn't care as much who commission for the sale went towards as long as the customer was happy, And any new employees who didn't feel the same way about putting the customer first didn't last long.  
     The hardest thing to overcome at the store was when i joined it had only been open for a few months and the stock channel's weren't always set up. This led to times where we would be sold out of 90% of our stock and became a show room at times.

A typical day at work starts with store set up & clean, then customers start to come through the store that have been booked in for various triage reasons which have to be resolved by on the spot so being resourceful and having the ability to troubleshoot on the fly are essential. The most enjoyable parts of the job is being constantly exposed to the latest and greatest mobile technology that Samsung has to offer.

Pay is above the market average and you also have the great benefits to buy the company's products at heavy discounted rate. 
Due to its brand recognition, this is a great company to add to your resume. 
Expect to have a fair bit of Korean work culture here. A.k.a long work hours, conservative workplace, etc. 
In terms of career progression, regardless how much experience you have, the company will always heavily favour their Korean staffs over non-Koreans.

Good place with typical Korean culture style working environment.

Less room for growth as most of the departments are outsourced to different companies and are not managed by Samsung and therefore resulting in less room for growth.

Benefits vary across the company as outsourced employees are not given the same benefits as employees on company payroll.

Multicultural environment and good place to practice sports and keep healthy.

SCT is a Korean but multi-national company, but I have learned the Korean culture of working way beyond the normal hours of work. It was fun working with the Korean nationals and eating with them their Korean delicacies. SCT always gives commendation and reward for the exceptional jobs that an employee has rendered.

Most employees used to work more than 50 hours and that is the way the culture is and typical Asian culture. More work and less pay. They promised increment at the time of joining and did not do it and and some sort of bullying the way. Too much politics and there is no advancement for any improvement.

I think overall Samsung is an ok place to work, it pays reasonably and the product sells, however there are departments so littered with toxic ethics and male dominated values that as a women it was unbearable to work there.

I would really recommend thinking twice about taking a job at Samsung if you are a woman, have an opinion or would like to make a contribution as it will likely be quashed or dismissed.

Samsung Australia is the best place i ever worked for; colleagues are generally very helpful and managers are very supportive;
I have learned how to have a better communication in the multi culture environment and move with a fast pace together with all other colleagues
The culture is very respectful and very friendly and that's the part I enjoyed the most
