The new head management kinda create a toxic ambiance on many basic but he does have great knowledge about a lot of things. The team was amazing, ready to support each other but expect a bit of time for trust just because there is so much roll over with the backpacker. Get ready to learn a menu with many aspect, different kind of steak and complex presentation but once you get it it does become quite easier. The salary is amazing, the people understanding if you work well and the view from the restaurant amazing. The hardest part is the regular split shift making be busy a lot during the day but not work that much in the end of the week.

Had a great time working at the Salt House, made lots of new friends from people overseas and enjoyed my time working there thoroughly. The structure needs to be seen to but may have been sorted out by now. Really enjoyable place to work at.

Poor management and lack of leadership skill..

Seniors or leaders tend to treat others so disrespectful. 

To be fair, they will pay you with ok rate but the work culture and working environment is very bad.

Don't recommend to work here!


start at 1030, go through prep list, set up sections ready for service, start prep and do service whilst prepping through out day, work place vibe would be fun but professional,

Professional and kind people the open kitchen was really nice! 
Some waiting issue with the happy hour bar food on Monday but always a mate to give you a hand.
Good place to work and learn about Australian cuisine and Asian product

I really enjoyed my time working here. It is in a beautiful location with friendly staff. Hospo Mondays are crazy but a lot of fun! Wish I could've stayed longer!

the best place to work, salthouse has a great environment, teaches you character building, management is welcoming, teachable and amazing, live love laugh salthouse 

Management doesn't care , are very rude to staff and create a very toxic environment. The Management also leave back packers to leave a mess in the morning .

Salt House had a wood fire grill and was a modern style Australian restaurant.
where I work hard, long hours and was very rewarding (learnt heaps)

Only a couple of the management where nice. The rest where vile and rude. Generally nasty people. They fired all there staff due to corona virus. Don't work here.
