SURF DIVE & SKI

I was genuinely very excited going into this role, however it became really boring really quickly- with no progressions and issues not getting addressed with final solutions made it hard to make sense and learn anything. With each store practicing their own ways and techniques makes for a very rocky base level of where customer service should be. As well as this stuck up managers who had been in the business way too long, when really they don’t even enjoy their job anymore and they are not helpful 

The company expects high goals but have bad work ethics. Pressure you to work over-time and make you work like you are on commission while getting underpaid. 

High staff turnover rates. The company does not care about taking care of staff members. No rewards to consistent high-performance staffs. However, when performance is low, management makes staff feel guilty. 

Very old school management. Feels like slavery, lose all my motivation at work.

I work for SDS for 2yrs ,The company expects alot ,your KPI'S are checked daily ,you have Individual targets to achieve daily without any commissions involved ...So if your a gun sales person and love the beach culture SDS is for you.

A typical work day was re stocking racks and cabinets with products and introducing customers to the store as they come in. Promoting sales and deals was also a part of the job and a must do to makes sales and profits. I learnt about sales promotion and counting stock.

The staff at surf dive and ski are lovely. Very easy to get along with and make friends, making work so much more enjoyable. Work hours for casual staff are flexible and allow you to maintain a good work/life balance.

Was a great place to complicate with people, was able to wear amazing discounted clothes for every day wear. And was a great to learn how to be a fantastic sales person.

the job itself was fast paced and sales driven, but the vibe of the client and store was relaxed and warm and friendly. 

Australian residents who choose to surf are considered laid back as it goes hand in hand with the culture.

Fun working environment. KPI's and sales targets made work challenging and encouraged good performance. Provided with lots of responsibility early in my employment. Great staff discounts.

Management was horrible and childish, with a focus more on what they wanted and not working with you. Lots of young people working there and bad pay. focus on bad managment!

A good company to work for, work was always fun and met some amazing people along the way. Not much room for progression within the company so I moved on.
