Not a company you would want to stay at. Good for a start to your career so you can pick up how the industry works and SA Care were definitely much more interested with making the company grow than having investment in the staff. There’s so much paper work it’s stressful, and takes time away from looking after and enjoying your clients progress and relationships. 

I’ve worked in both the community and facilities with SACare and enjoyed both,my only con about SACare is the lack of permanent positions they provide,I have worked with them other a year and yet to be offered to apply for permanent contract.They offer a good pay rate and plenty of training opportunities which is always an advantage

A typical day is personal needs for clients 1 to 3 in one day.
Willing to be flexiable.
The most enjoyable part of the job is too see clients improve.
The hardest part of the job is losing clients.
Not have any job security.
Management can be an issues at times for clients in their home environment and employees out in the field.
The company has become in personal unfortunately.

When I was a support worker and team leader at SACARE there were plenty of opportunities for self advancement if you were trustworthy and accredited. I now send my Cert III students to SACARE and one of them became a Team Leader :)

The salary was quite concerning especially after working in the public sector for a while, Got offered $15/hour less on day shifts and $30/hr less on weekends compared to public sector nursing pay rates. Handover and DDA count time is required but not paid so you donate 30mins per shift to the company

Unhappy staff, poor change management, unstable business practices. Management override most decisions, sadly lost their vision for client satisfaction and seem to be all consumed with making money

The staff at SA Care are very friendly but management are very disorganised. Payroll have alot of issues and often pay us wrong. We are constantly having to chase up pay discrepancies.

I loved working with SACARE. Great support system for both clients and staff. They also provide free training which helped me in my career and became a more proficient care giver 

Clients are lovely and friendly, appreciate what you do, but be careful of other staff , Various working hours in different locations, Work nis not really very hard.
