Typical day at work involves preparing client files, communicating via email to teams if needed, bagging up mediations to appointed runs, and going out on road with a fellow Nurse. 
I have learned patience is a virtue in Nursing, often client's/patient's take time to explain things to us. 
Management are very approachable. 
Co-workers are pretty good, and it's really important to have a team that will back you up in this type of Nursing.
The hardest part of the job is that I wish they gave the Endorsed Enrolled Nurses more responsibility. 
The most enjoyable part of the job is talking to client's, getting to know their likes and dislikes, and feeling like I'm making some sort of a difference in their lives.

I was on the casual bank for a couple of years and also got offered a short term contract to work on 7SE (plastics & trauma ward) I gained a lot of experience and found that all staff and management were extremely friendly and helpful. 
I would definitely recommend working on the casual bank if you want or need good work/life balance and like to change up your day to day work life. It is a very easy process to apply for shifts and personally I think I was offered a shift 99.9% of the time I said I was available. Obviously you can’t guarantee shifts but that is part of being a casual staff member.

Its hard to answer patients and their families when surgeries are postponed for more than 2-3 times/days.
The enjoyable part is the challenge in caring for different patients with same surgery, but different outcomes, complications and recovery process.

An ok place to work. 
Can be a bit gossipy. 
The in charge on shift are always lovely. 
Safety can be a concern at times. Management are not always quick to respond about your concerns.
Great as a second part time job. 
But if your on the pm short shift, your witnessing medications being taken from a Webster pack and sometimes dropping them off to clients. 
I would say that your communication skills will improve in this role, your awareness and assessment skills (to do with clients). There is some room for advancement but not a lot.
You go out in the evening in teams of 2, so you need to be comfortable with that.

Easily the best managers I've ever had, who wholeheartedly cared about my overall wellbeing, and work/life balance. They were friendly, open and happy to accommodate my scheduling needs to the best and their abilities. Additionally, I found my co-workers to be extremely knowledgable, helpful, friendly and welcoming. The facilities are clean and up to date, with many modern advancements and funding. Overall 10/10, work here if you can.

High clinical acuity with great salary packaging benefits but poor work life balance and management don't care. They work you into the ground until you break.
No parking available on site and cost a small fortune. Management encourages staff to use PT to get to work but will penalise you if the system fails and your late beyond your control.
Constant changing policies to protect its behind. Roster put out late. Constant need for overtime and management argues that it owes you those hours. 

My day at work would consist of hard work and a little interaction with co workers. The managers were always there to help and support which was great. We would work hard and hit quota for each month. The hardest part of the job was trying to meet deadlines by each month but it was both challenging and rewarding once met. The most enjoyable part of the job was the people I worked with were always friendly.

Royal Melbourne Hospital has a terrible culture of bullying and discrimination when it comes to employees. They were ordered to do something about it and nothing was done. Reported it several times to my boss and only made things worse and then he chipped in. Gotacha moments, gaslighting, abusive language and personal assaults - you name it. The other docs on my level cop it too as well as the nurses. Just a disgusting place to work.

For the short time I was working at RMH in ICU and BMT and Heamatology Dept, I have enjoyed my time there. Despite the challenges due to Covid, my co-workers are very helpful, supportive and kind. Management is very accomodating and helpful too. The staff are just lovely and good to work with. I wouldn't have left if we didn't have to move interstate. 
So lucky to have the opportunity to work there. Just amazing people and vibrant fast paced work environment. 

Very supportive and friendly colleagues. Management has recently changed which has resulted in a better work environment. The hardest part of the job is the customer service side whereby many angry and argumentative employees call about their pay being incorrect and the lack of positive reinforcement. The hightlight of my job is working with a fun, friendly, down to earth team of people who I have come to think of as my family.
