I started work at the RSL in August 2007 in the Viva restaurant till  March 2009, then I was placed in the Clearwater Café till September 2012, then had 2 weeks off when my wife passed away, when I came back they put me back in the Viva kitchen doing the same job Washing pots and pans and using the dish washer. Started at 12:00pm check that the dishwasher was full and fill the sink with hot water for the pots and pans, plates and non metal go into the dishwasher. till 3:pm have a 31/2 hour break come back at 6:30pm and Take out the rubbish from day shift then we start all over again washing. there was 2 of us one on Pots and pans the other on the dishwasher. till the end of the night take out the rubbish and clean down the benches empty the machines and clean out then squeegee the floor before we went home at 9: 30pm.

Made a lot of friends during my time at the RSL in west Gosford as well as core memories. It's challenging at first especially during training shifts as there's so much to learn about the club. If you apply as a club attendant, you'll most likely be trained in every areas such as the bistro, café, main and sports bar. Might take a while to get used to working in the Cafe especially if you've never made coffees before. Other than that, you get used to it and get better over time. Eventually, you'll learn valuable skills because by then you'll be an all rounder. This is highly desirable if once you make hospitality your career choice, working in a club is a great opportunity to teach you all aspects of hospitality. 

Working at the RSL Karratha was a blast, I learnt so much new things and loved the staff there. they were all so amazing and talented. A typical day at work I would go In with a few other girls and start prepping for meals and making sure everything was ready and then when 6pm hit it was a full on night from there. Our manager was great and understanding. the hardest part of the job would've been when it got really busy and we were all trying to get our jobs done and it was hard to remain calm and happy but we all still did. the most enjoyable part about the job was working with all the staff there, they were the most amazing people.

The Rsl do all they can to make the work environment a great place to come to.  
Everyone puts in 100 per cent effort and make the hours fly by.  
Running my class I make it hard work with a lot of fun.  And do the extra wee things for each client like food coaching with the blood diet and new recipes.  To keeping the motivation up encouraging them to design their own bodies as they are the ones putting in the hard work.  

I love both  positions as I have always loved cooking for people and helping them change their lives is absolutely amazing.

I enjoy my job ,it is both rewarding and challenging to be able to make a difference in someones life and see them smile and make your all their needs meet is is so rewarding.
I pride myself on the high level of holistic care I deliver to my residents/ clients daily whether it be in a personal care or emontional needs. I believe I would be an asset to any company as I am a team player, I believe with we all work together we not only deliver the highest quality care to our residents/ clients but make for a excellent work envoirment.

This is a traditional organisation that is steeped in Australian tradition and commemoration.

There is a great work/life balance and the job is always interesting.

This company is seen great change over the past 5 years and has grown exponentially in terms of turn over and number of employees who have joined the company.

Excellent team work and sportsmanship, everyone was always willing to go out on a wimb to help other collegues in need. 
The most enjoyable thing about commencing work at the RSL was the team spirit. I gained so much knowledge in the three months i was there in so many feilds ranging from food preperations through to functions and event nights.

My team was extremely best and always motivated me. I loved working with each one of them, You get pay per hour as well as bonuses too. Door to Door was hard but shopping malls were easier for me

a typical day at work would include  a lot of team work, fast movement, money handling and constant walking around. I have the ability to meet new people every day and work in a fast paced environment. In this job, I get to problem solve on a daily basis and work as part of a team.
