From the top down this place is run in mini fiefdoms. People literally disappear. One day they're going about their work after a decade of service the next they are not there and no acknowledgement of their service or even their leaving occurs. It's an open door policy, just don't get your head stuck in there while it's being slammed in your face.

The people giving good ratings are experiencing 'the good times'. These times do not last in this company. 

Everyone is afraid to say what they think. Everyone intelligent is either in self protection mode, or being pushed out the door via harassment by HR and their line manager.

If you're reading this and dismissing it as the words of a cynic I pity you.

Best of luck to you if you choose to work there. There are some tremendous people there bailing water to keep the good ship QStupid afloat. Best pick up a pail and get in with them to learn how to survive while you look for another employer.

Typical day is taking calls from members. I learned a lot about superannuation legislation and financial planning. Management was haphazard and self-protective. There is a toxic culture and bullying is not uncommon. The people and lack of support is the hardest part. The best part is helping members understand their benefits.

Many reorganizations make it difficult to stay the course.  Some progress here, but a way to go. 

A fun company culture is good for business. Fun company cultures are the best way to keep employees and attract new ones. A fun culture stems from the leadership energy demonstrated.

Learned to accept that your day never turned out how it was planned.

Loved the job because of the vartity and the requirement to think outside the square.

Company was not supportive of family life and when children got sick. Management focused of negatives of new employers and made new members feel unworthy. Training was limited in induction and very rushed. Out of the 16 people that started the induction, 5 are left.

The IT Delivery team has probably the worse management I have experienced. The bullying of staff from senior managers is something to see. Draconian work practices. The workers are generally good people and work hard.

The IT dept is being held back by very ordinary management.

Recently transitioned to WFH and work life balance is much better now.

Good people and management.
Supportive of career advancement with professional training given where required.

Talented staff and piers. Meaningful meetings and briefs. Thorough work practices. Responsive to emails and approachable management. Staff are competitive.

Worked on a few interesting project at QSuper. Project teams were well resourced and overall team structure worked well in an agile environment. Plenty of opportunities to learn new skills.

Learned a great deal about Insurance and managing change back at project change level. Focus was communications, training and stakeholder engagement.
