Prosek Security

Whilst under the employ of Prosek I performed the duties of Crowd Control at various licensed hotels on the north side and south side of Brisbane. 
The position of  crowd control developed a specialized set of skills that I would have otherwise been denied.

  A routine structure and plan is foremost when working in tentative environment. Discipline and attention to detail are paramount to a safe and productive night when performing your duties.

I would regularly patrol the premise inside within an fifteen minute time frame and perform an external check every hour. In the event of an incident I would control the situation by using communication and negotiation skills with the added exception of the legal amount of force if necessary. 

Following an incident I would file a report on the situation and make any subsequent notes and advice to assist the client in remedying the problem if it persisted, these notes would also advantage subsequent guards.

Learning to identify threats and areas of caution are customary when working with groups of people under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Isolating patrons discreetly from a party of his or her piers significantly reduces the impact of aggressive behaviour.
Identifiably in the same context is recognizing and removing any objects or obstructions that could influence hostility resulting in physical damage and or property damage to clients and or clientele respectively.  

Identifying non immediate threats are a cautionary practice that I employed regularly on my shifts, constant checks of car parks and surrounding area and noting suspicious vehicles or vehicles idling for unusual amounts of time would be cause for immediate action and reports to police. Unwanted attention from outside parties engaging in conversation with patrons in areas such as beer gardens would warrant action to be taken and either police called if behaviour became erratic or suspicious.
 Walking staff to their vehicle after a shift is safe practice and is mandatory with most companies. 

Management of Prosek were transitory and inconsistent. The engineered approach of instructions implemented was synonymous to all contracts which was pragmatic and time effective for administration purposes, however if had no logical purchase with smaller establishments that attracted the least possible clientele.


The few opportunities I had to work with other guards which were not many although the guards I did work with, I found to be positive and informative. 

The most challenging part of working in crowd control is being able to handle a hostile situation independently as I was posted by myself most of the time. 

The patrons always provide good entertainment, I found if you make friends with the regulars and keep positive and share a joke with your clientele, your unlikely to encounter many problems.

Worked with a lot of great crowd controllers whilst working for Prosek Security , However management always seemed to have an issue and always liked to micro manage the workers which would cause tension amongst the staff from prosek and the staff from the venues.
The Job of a crowd controller in the Gold coast area is a rather demanding one and requires Teamwork and efficiency and when certain parts of management deem it necessary to dictate every single move you make in such an occupation but not havig any hands on experience in the ground floor of the job itself it makes things very difficult to run smoothly.

Being a Queensland ran company and myself living and working in NSW was a positive in that we ran the site as per clients instructions with little interference from Prosek, however when you did need help from them, there was very little to the point we lost a major contract due to the poor running of the company. And then they tried to short change everyone by thousands of dollars each on redundancy payouts…. 
Avoid at all costs 

Prosek Security only employees as a contractor,  Hours are good but no real security.    Enjoy the work but want something more secreted. 
 Which allows to grown and move forward with the company.  There is no future within the company.  wished there was.  Things like sick leave and holidays along with service appreciation. Work hard with no rewards always want more but not willing to give in return

I was in charge of a regional area containing 10 accounts. I was in charge if the daily roster and quality control provided to our clients. I was in charge of hiring and disciplinary actions if called for. Maintained government compliance and ensured a high standard for customer service.

Management are ok and easy to get alone with , but expect you to work all hours of the day/night on no sleep..
Expect to get no breaks regardless of the hours you do and only get paid a flat rate which is terrible

I worked with Prosek for a few months, not the worst security company I have worked for but there is better. Operation point of view with prosek requires great attention. Venues are decent.

I would recommend Prosek to anyone 
Only down side is they couldn’t always guarantee the hours 
But range or venues and locations and all the personal were extremely profession

Hotel work crowd control. Travel between locations at own cost. No support from management. Strong pecking order problems with in the guards. Not good for experience.

A good place to work management let's you down sometimes but that happens in every industry . They are a equal opportunity company and everyone is treated fairly.
