Price Attack

Ive worked there twice between travelling and other jobs in my career advancement. Returned after a casual position became available in my local town after i had my daughter. The work environment was highly unorganised (things in book and computers often not matching) or customers showing up for appointments that werent there- not their error, ours.
Sales pushes were at an all time high because of online shopping, i get it but we did our best.

I actually loved the work and the products, but the 2 things that eventually forced me to leave was the continious pressure of doing peircings (ive never been qualified or trained in peircing, and getting a few girls from the local donut shop to 'practice on' does not warrant as qualified). Last but not least, 2 months worth of commission, about $400 was withheld because i hadnt completed a 3 minute online module on the brands. I didnt even have access to this website til the day i resigned and was never informed of it by owners or management. I took it upon myself (a 3 day a week casual!) to chase it up with head office, and week in week out it gets passed on to someone else and i keep calling back and no answers. Its been a month now.

Disgusted

Working at price was consistently busy as well as fast paced, learn a lot more with hair products and services. Learnt to fine tune skills as a hairdresser, from a well knowledge manger. Co-workers were encouraging and supportive. Hardest part of the job was keeping up with the appointment book as it to busy for yourself to look at. Most enjoyable part of the job there was meeting new people from a range of ages and different type of personalities.

days were fun and full of opportunities to learn, the days were also so quick because there was never a dull moment! the management was super organised and always ready to give a helping hand. the hardest part of the job was figuring out everyone's personalities and how they liked certain jobs to be done. and the most enjoyable part was just working and helping all the staff and hear so much.

Price attack is a great store, i learned more about product knowledge, merchandising, how to budget and prioritise. I also learned how to manage staff and allocate duities. All the staff were very nice, very knowledgable and helpful, the manager was also great and helped me in every step of the way, she taught me alot and was very understanding.

received threats and have been bullied by manager
staff morale at all time low
threatened to be fired 24/7
had to go back on mental health medication just to get through it all until i find my next job

i loved learning new whys to make toners. to also help costumers out with good home care. and seeing my clients smile once they live the salon.we always had a great time with all the girls. they also used to alwasy help you out when need.

Work Placement at price attack was a fantastic experience,
the hardest part of my job was being confident serving customers at the begining but in the end I was more then confident to help anyone that came into the store.
The tasks I completed were cleaning the salon and the store.
Washing Clients Hair.
Mixing colours.
Making Tea and Coffee.
Washing Towels.

In the small amount of time working in Price Attack, the other employees were lovely to be around and very welcoming, the work was enjoyable and I learnt many things. Some jobs I did were, cleaning up the salon, restocking products, working the till and providing customer service.

Terrible upper managements Price Attack head Office.  Thought this would be a great career advancement however the corporate side is definitely not. No support just criticism. Very disheartening. No job is ever good enough. However if you get a good franchisee it is a completely different story. It can be wonderful and it it a completely different situation.

Worked 2 days of borderline slavery only to be told we were no longer needed. Were promised a month of internship training and a job afterwards, simply got a call from Warehouse Solutions stating they didnt know what had happened but that we would not be needed. waste of time. absolutely disgraceful.
