I mostly work in the laundry so my day involves the basics washing/drying, ect; But doing it for four areas each day, I have to help co-ordinate time management, which areas should go first, the most efficient way to get the work through quickly, making sure our facility has enough stock to get them through the nights and weekend.

Through working at P.A.C. I'd have to say the most important thing I have learn't is how to be a more reliable worker and better at managing tasks learning as much as I can from my superiors.

I have made many friends at my work and enjoyed being there. In the three years I have have been there I can honestly say I dont know of anyone I dont get along with.

The hardest part of my job would have to be the constantly changing hours it becomes very confusing at times.
If I get put into dining after not being there I have to learn all the new resident need and wants for their dinner and remember the old ones can be difficult.

The most enjoyable part of my work is talking to my work mates, and bringing joy to the residents just by talking to them and going for a walk with them.

What is the best part of working at the company?
People so friendly,how to communicate with residents,respect each other.and how to make sure that everyone knows what is happening in the community and how they can make a positive impact on aged care facilities.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I really like the people work together as a team and they really do care and they really are amazing people to work with and they have a great sense for each other.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good as long as I know everything goes well looking after each other’s needs to build with the best intentions and the most positive attitude that I can give to them.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Good as always and the company runs so well working with the people that have the best experience and the most amazing people to work with and to share their experiences with the community.

Absolutely dreadful management; Faciity manager has own agender,
also she claims to have decadeds of service in mental health, but without the qualifications or job profiles to back her statements up.
Some Staff  have been there a long time,mostly due to work friendships
& taking the fast turn over of management in their stride, so that if they get 
poor manager, they simply prepared to bide their time & wait & pray for a better one to show up. Inother word staff have an great deal of tolerance
for abismal management, who have also been cause of many a decent care-service staff leaving no doubt.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They our experience staff who work 20+ year teach you and guide you what is right and wrong. what is the right ways to care in nursing home. I learnt from them. They are the best in person care .

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No stress . Resident and staff are like family.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Friendly and respect the dignity and rights of our residents 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Every day. Every day is always special for me to be with my second family.

Easy to approach and friendly management team. Easy to get along with co-workers. Career growth opportunities are abundant. The pay is good. Management makes every effort to look well after residents but is often stringent on resources. So, puts pressure on carers and nurses to meet a high standard of care. Small manageable issues, else a lovely place to work.   

Starting work at 6:30 am 
learned time management, infection control, using mechanical lifters, how to communicate to patients.
Good Facility and very nice and helpful staff to work . 
Showering resistive patients is the hardest part of the job.
Talking to helpful staff and managers is the enjoyable part of the job.

Really busy work placement. Every day short staff. Sometimes the staff is hiding in the corner. Only working bee do hard work. After resident breakfast time you can have break time and before resident lunch time you can lunch time. 10min rule. Resident press call button have to attend during hours. 

Presbyterian Aged Care provides carers  with many opportunities to grow and to learn, support given to its staff in all area to make carer confidence and committed to tasks given.
Allowing staff to expressed themselves in ways to better their skills and jobs which benefit their residents.

Poor staff ratio.
Residents buzzers don’t get answered on time 
RN’s have to bear the brunt of any issues, stress level is high.
No assistance in dealing with complaints from family.
Current management on nursing side is very poor.
I have worked with much better ones.managers/ management than the current one

Every friendly environment. Feels like a home. Resident trusted staff and free to report any issue to the management. 
Open door policy. The new management have made an improvement. 
Happy to work there . 
A place to call a home said by one of the resident
