I was employed as a Christmas casual, and for a time, I loved it. We were pushed to keep customers in mind and to focus on them, but that being said, even if a customer had a specific budget we were pushed to show more, more and more which made customers visibly uncomfortable and stressed which in turn, made me uncomfortable and stressed. A one-item sale was not considered good enough, and those trainees who did not exceed three items were stalked by seniors for the rest of their shift. We were constantly talked about- both visibly behind our backs and in front of us- by managers and full/part-time staff members. It was clique-like, similar to stereotypical high schools, and many of the regular staff were childish in their manner (swearing in front of customers and at each other.) A lot of the staff would be condescending and refuse to let us put sales through by ourselves. The back area was a monstrosity, too small for two people to fit in which was hard when I needed to clean and someone else needed to clock in/out. I also managed to get a concussion from tripping in there when a staff member was sitting on the ladder used to reach stock on shelves during their shift (not on break, but they were full time so they could do whatever they wanted.) My first shift as a casual member (being no longer in trainee status), I asked if we got a staff discount. I was not given any information about this until my second last shift when I had finally saved enough to buy something. None of the trainees were told if they got discounts either, and we would ask each other in each shift about it. A manager's mistake was also put unto me because I gift wrapped their sale, which they did not check properly. All in all, as much as I respect the quality of the products, I can never hold the same love for the brand as I did when I started.

A typical day at the Pandora store was just like I had imagined. I got to talk to both people that loved Pandora Jewellery and people that had never heard of the brand. 
It was my job to find out what brought them to the store, who they were buying for, and what occasion it was for. Once I identified the customers needs, i would then show them products that they were interested in and other possible items that met their needs.

In the short time working at Pandora I learnt many things. One of the most valuable things that I learnt was dealing with different types of people. Most people that approached the store were very friendly and happy to be there, but others were not so nice or happy to be there. I learnt that no matter how people treat or talk to you, you must alway be happy and friendly toward them.

From the very first Shift the Regional Manager, Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager knew my name and they were all so nice and welcoming towards me.
My co-workers were also all very nice and very welcoming. It made me very happy to go to work.

The hardest part of my job occurred in my first couple of shifts. It was because I had never worked at the store before, so i didn't know where things were kept, so on various occasions I had to ask my co-workers where something was, and lucky for me they were always willing to help me out.

The most enjoyable part of the job was definitely being able to work with the amazing Pandora Jewellery. I have always loved the products, so it was amazing to work with and experience working the store first hand.

Worked as a Christmas Casual over the busy period. My store hadn't opened yet when they hired me so I was sent to other stores for 2 months whilst they kept delaying the opening.

- Senior staff members were constantly gossiping and making fun of new staff
- All they cared about was money, nothing else. We were always pressured to force customer's into buying more when that clearly wasn't what they wanted
- Managers would get food delivered to the store using petty cash, then not let anyone else eat it during breaks, despite store policy
- Very inconsistent shifts given, rostering people for months ahead, long before availability was due
- Many of us paid incorrect amounts
- Constantly telling people last minute their shift was over because the store hadn't made enough money that day
- Sent out weekly ranking's of the 'top performing employees' and 'lowest performing employees'

As my contract was ending at the end of the christmas period I did not wish to continue working for them, and I informed them of such. They sent me a new contract, with daily reminders to sign it so I did because I needed the money. Weeks later in a group email about something else they stated the contracts were sent accidentally, and to ignore them. I contacted the manager informing her that I was not impressed and that was a legal binding document. I never got a reply or another shift, was sent a letter of resignation to sign and never heard from the company or anyone ever again.

Even though the pay and discounts were good, I had a terrible experience with Pandora and I would never recommend anyone work there and I will CERTAINLY never purchase from the company again.

On a day to day basis my work involved maintaining and implimentin a high global VM standard to our Multi Branded Retailer and to assist and build relations between these parteners.
I was also reasponsible for the training of 15 VM specialists in our Company and Franchise owned concept stores.

I have learned a lot obout Franchise partener and the duty of care a company must comply with as well as the laws of complyancy and also how the ACCC works, somthing I new not a lot about in my previouse roles.
I also have learnt about the wonderful wourld of Gems and Presious metals an amazing experiance.

The team I worked with are very diverse, frendly, hard working and ready to assist you in any way they can

The hardest part of my possition was meeting short dedlines wile keeping within a set budget eg. Store openings.

The best part of my job was the divercity of my role on a day to day basis and of course my team.
also being part of a global company and traveling to Thailand to visit our manufacturing plants and to be part of the global confrance held there
Another highligt was seting up and opening the first 2 franchise stores in New Zealand

The manger was awful and was bias. She picked favourites and demonstrated this clearly through the rostering; short shifts and cut shifts. She also would tell you to hurry up and laugh at you when you made a mistake, I witnessed this with her and another staff member. 

I stuck it out here for over a year because some of the girls I worked with I was close friends with. Was so keen to leave. 

The full time staff gossip and talk about customers and other casuals on the headsets. They also laugh and make fun of you if you ask a question or are unsure of where something is kept. Considering the environment is a complete mess and there is hardly an organisational system. 

The 2IC were friendly, but the manager pulled their strings and they were awful and got angry when you request a shift change. 

One of the men on concierge was incredibly rude to customers and our staff, although he was a managers' favourite so no point letting her know. 

The manager even made staff fear her, not on. Although everyone just thought she was a joke. 

Do not apply here, it is a toxic working environment. And you do not get paid for your training. 

The regional manager was nice.

I worked at Pandora as an AU Retail Mother's Day Casual and loved it! So much so that I would love to apply again:) 

The job culture is great, the people are great (Boss, co-workers higher managers, everyone is incredibly kind and welcoming) and you can pick up skills on how a business works when working here. You get trained very well and you get games too in training in which you can win Pandora jewellery:).


As for those being interviewed I highly recommend wearing and doing makeup just like the people who work at Pandora and wearing Pandora jewellery as this will show your interest in the role. This is usually black pants / blue jeans, black top, plain white shoes (with no logos), Pandora ONLY jewellery (unless religious) of course as this was also my uniform. 



I worked at Pandora Bourke Street over the Christmas period in 2018. Every time I entered the store I felt judged, uncomfortable and all in all...bullied. I prayed my manager wasn't on the same times as I was, as she constantly picked on myself and many of the other casual girls. 

Here are other reasons why you should avoid the company at all costs: 
- Sending out "Best Sales ppl" and "Worst Sales ppl" of the week
- We are forced to bully and pressure customers to purchase additional items, as the benchmark for basket size is 3 items, AND if we did not make this benchmark we were harassed by the store manager. 
- Our shifts were cut from 10 hours to 3 hours, or we had a 5 hour shift and it was extended to 10 hours...then cut back to 3 hours.
- Other senior sales girls would comment on our body shapes and the way we wore our hair or make up 
- The male staff would say degrading things about other female customers on the head sets 

I will never shop in Pandora again, and to be honest I HATE even passing any Pandora store.

I worked with Pandora for just over 6 months and it wasn't enjoyable at all. The entire time I was there was a fight. The manager would constantly make you feel anxious and never reward your hard work. 

The manager would regularly forget what processes she had put in place the day before, so as a consequence, you would get in trouble for doing something you were told was fine yesterday. There was no consistency, yet they expected so much from you. 

A lot of hard work goes overlooked, and even if you are a top seller and reach KPI's regularly, if you miss it one week or two, don't expect any respect from your management staff, they'll let you go just like that. 

I have never had a problem in any work place, I give 100% in absolutely everything I do. So after 6 or so months of constantly giving it my best, reaching KPI's and building rapport with customers, I left as I was being treated very poorly and did not feel valued at all.

I had worked for pandora for over a year and a half. Never have I ever felt so disrespected and belittled by management as I have there. 
I was told by management to "get over" my c - ptsd which was followed up by "you're an adult now." For clarification purposes, few other issues team members had were ever dealt with appropriately. 
Management is a complete and total disaster. If you like being spoke down upon and made to feel like you are being isolated from your team, by all means, work here. 
Pay is probably one of the only bonuses from here, although, shifts are not ever given out fairly amongst casual workers (no matter how long you have worked there for.) 
Many times during my time there I had been underpaid and instead of correcting the issue, it was swept under the rug. 
They expect you to stay back after your shift without pay at times as well. 
I only stayed as long as I did because of the rates for weekends and how fun and seamless it was to serve customers. 

I worked at Pandora as a Christmas casual. I had high hopes for this company but it turned out to be the worst experience ever.

Store Manager and other full time staffs have rbf, and they are allowed to talk about non-related work stuff during work hours but when we get do, they tell us off. 

They always say that they put customer first however all they cared about was money, hitting targets etc.

Store Manager/ Assistant Store Managers are very bias. It is very obvious when they do not like the person; rostering them on short shifts and cutting many hours on a shift. 

Even though staff discounts are great, the store manager gives you an attitude for it when you made a purchase.

The hourly pay were average wage but since you only work for a short number of hours, the pay in a day is certainly not pleasing. I had a terrible experience with Pandora and I would never recommend anyone work there and I will definitely not renew my contract with Pandora.
