PARADISE RESORT

While working at Paradise resort I was witness to bullying and a culture of this happening to new staff. I was also only employed for the busiest holiday season much to my surprise. The room checkers were unprofessional, " I was yelled at and humiliated in front of guests". On occasion one of the male room checkers had in fact moved items in the rooms I had cleaned and then proceeded to report me to HR. The hardest part of the job was that it was fast paced and expectations of how many rooms were cleaned in a morning. The most enjoyable part of the job was making shore families had a great holiday.

get into work set up work area knuckle down clean all dishes in a safe & fast pace before service starts. give staff a hand if needed. learn how to hold a knife properly when prepping. learn how to wrok solo & as a team such as follow the team & lead (lead by example) and stronger communication skills. great management always aware of staff always helping & communicating. get along with all co workers great to work with all encourage each other when having a bad night. hardest part of the job some times working solo is difficult trying to keep up with everyone. the most enjoyable part of the job was working along side a lot of great co workers.

Restocking of food and pantry before shift starts. Trolley's are setup and ready for restaurant staff to pick up. Kitchen area's are clean and safe working environment. All refused materials are disposed off appropriately. Management were approachable when required to do so.
Staff morale was great and fun from time to time, but the aim to get the work done.
The hardest part of the job, was to redo other individual lack of team work.
I enjoyed the social activities with fellow staff within the social club. . 

This job isn't the most reliable. It is an on call position with last minute notification of shift cancelation. You may not get a shift for a whole month, just one a week. Or can work everyday of the week. Minimum shift is 2.5 hours. As the Award Wage is under hospitality, you will receive less than $19/hour. If you wish to work with children and have no experience, it is a great place to start.

This place is nice at worst very welcoming then a few months later your the worst person there and they need to have an interview do address there concerns with me??? I was nothing but nice when the staff there talk about people behind there backs. They can be nice and then there so mean a day or two later. I beg you not to work here it's a old building built in the 80s. There's mould everywhere, germs everywhere. I was constantly sick. 

Since my employment, Paradise Resort has given me one shift, although i have called every week to see my shifts they have not put me on. It is not because I am a bad worker it's because I had to cancel one shift because of a school meeting which was compulsory. I believe I was treated very unfairly in this situation. although I am still on their payroll and employed with them I have not been reciving shifts.

Paradise resort is an excellent company. It has good management in place and always has work to be done. Its a great environment to work in with positive vibes and good staff. 


Daily jobs include: leaking taps, repairing furniture, fixing mesh doors, cleaning and unblocking A/C, painting and patching, unblocking clogged sinks/toilets, fixing tv/Xbox problems.

Always looked forward to going to work each day. Great culture, great team, great fun. Highly professional and approachable management. Would return tomorrow if I could.

learned how important team work is, people are very friendly and they tend to alway help me and give me advices
the supervisors are fun to work with not too strict not too carefree you will feel confident at the same time while working

Really horrible girls that work there. Really clicky and gossipy! Talking behind your back. Lots of meetings and u did this that wrong etc then give you a free coffee and lunch the next day for being so wonderful at your work?!
